It would be super wishful thinking if the city timed this water main replacement with the redesign/beautification of Mercer Street. Guessing the reality is they’ll tear it all up, replace the water mains, pave it haphazardly, so they can eventually tear it all up again. Hope I’m wrong

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Are the provincial traffic laws written in stone… I don’t get why we don’t make amendments to the law themselves instead of all these half-a*s loopholes that just add confusion.

    Toronto BMO Field Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | Gensler

$37 million for temporary seats is kind of wild considering the original field cost $80 million to construct (according to Wikipedia).

You know the floor plan is janky when even the developer fails to sensibly place furniture like the tv stand and kitchen table set

Perhaps I’m the one missing the joke here. But I believe PE was making a facetious joke on @MetroMan leaving the forum, and also the persistent joke that the Apple Store at 1 Bloor E was going to have a mezzanine Edit: Only wanted to clarify so members don’t conflate a joke with a very serious...

I read here that Kohn Pedersen Fox had a hand in designing some of the buildings but removed themselves after serious VE-ing, any chance you saved files of early design ideas?

The renders look like they’ll connect across the first 5ish floors. If they stick with that design, it’s kind of wild that they’ll be taking off curtainwall and cladding that was so recently installed.
