    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 299m | 90s | Menkes | a—A

Just a crane parked on site. Could be for something next door. Only permits posted are for signs including two "Sugar Wharf" ground signs.

    Toronto Quayside: Timber House | 49.2m | 12s | Dream | David Adjaye

Would they ever be able to fill that lot? It seems excessive in any case. A better approach would have been half parking and half grass. (although locals may get too attached to the temporary grass)

    Toronto West Don Lands: Block 13 | 139.31m | 43s | Dream | Henriquez Partners

Letdown? Sure. It's also thinking drawings in rezoning exercises are halfway to being built. We want affordable. We want high end finishes to make ourselves feel better about our sub 400 square foot purchases. This is taking a concept to reality. I was already let down by Toronto's standard for...

    Vaughan RioCan Colossus Centre Redevelopment | ?m | 55s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

I don't get it either and I don't think all these 40 plus storey towers with 10 or more units per floor is a competitive long term housing option for the region but, suburbia seems to be capturing whatever buyers still exist and at the expense of downtown Toronto. I doubt this market will last...

Hollywood needs to get over the $150 million plus blockbuster sequels. Than you can start your chain.

Worst movie of all time and $10 popcorn is still better value than a Blue Jays game.

    Toronto 41-45 Spadina Road | 55.5m | 15s | ProWinko | a—A

The broader issue is that Ontario has to justify transit investment with intense densities. Other countries manage frequent high order transit within Annex densities. The strong neighbourhood connection should be at the forefront of the conversation and not that it hasn't grown in population...

    Toronto EQ Bank Tower | 105.18m | 23s | First Gulf | Sweeny &Co

It's odd for a pre-leased office tower to doddle. It's not like condos in which developers can delay occupancy with few penalties. Most likely this is just the schedule. I'm thinking even if EQ Bank doesn't intend to occupy their space why delay the finish and miss out on rent.

    Toronto Porsche Centre Downtown | 12.76m | 3s | DFC | BDP Quadrangle

I thought it was obvious. How many $10,000 bikes have you seen ridden around downtown Toronto or on trails or locked in bike racks? The people that buy $10,000 bikes also buy car themed condos with attached high rise garages. The rage for these hasn't come to Toronto

    Mississauga Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

A 3,000 square foot house in OKC costs as much as a sub 400 square condo in downtown Toronto. It's just a bunch of renderings and nothing else. Mississauga can complete a 400 metre, 125 storey, 2000 unit tower. It's still Mississauga.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

You can call it whatever you want. I know this is The One thread. Creditors have taken over The One and have put it up for sale. I would err on the side of caution and wait for the tower to be completed before popping the bottle. It wouldn't be for sale if the creditors decided on finishing it.

    Kitchener TEK Tower | 144.5m | 45s | IN8 Developments | srm Architects

Above ground is the only option when building this tall and this dense in a place like Kitchener. The condo market is driven by international investors for international students. There's no value in hiring a starchitect. It's height and its by products vs Hamilton's Augusta. I don't think much...

    Toronto 54 Brownlow | 200.9m | 59s | The Benvenuto Group | Sweeny &Co

Boring design and it only gets worse from there. 771 units in less than 50,000 square feet. 771 units and only 6 elevators. Finally, 23.4 times coverage at Yonge and Eglinton!?! Even China would have take a moment seeing this.

    Toronto T3 Sterling Road | 52.52m | 11s | Hines | DLR

Nothing against these buildings. They're great altough I could do without the wing wrapping around the Sterling tower. I just don't understand Hines Canada. They got burned building on spec in Calgary. Why would they have done it here?

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Modernism is the least appreciated movement on these forums. This isn't Brutalism to begin. Brutalism is decorative/ expressionism. This is minimalism. (From memory) Each window bay is equal in size and each side of the building has a equal number of bays. Each of those bays is inset from the...

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

They are nice pavers. They could have done more with the precast planters that match the precast cladding. They don't have to match Everything is a just a little tight which doesn't benefit Henriquez panache for complex built forms and cladding. The towers all blend together. I wish Henriquez...

Tiny units near the 7 figures. We have an abundance of those in Toronto.

    Toronto Birchley Park | 46.2m | 12s | Diamond Kilmer | TACT Architecture

I'm aware of that. They have been pushing dirt around for a couple of years now and those wells for remediation or geothermal or both went in over a year ago. I'm referring to the shoring and excavation for the underground parkade of the first block that was completed more than 6 months ago and...

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 299m | 90s | Menkes | a—A

The one thing we can look up to see the progression to construction are permits and there are no permits submitted whatsoever for Sugar Wharf Ph.2. My feelings are to set this one aside for now. The extension of Downes should be the first thing built
