Yes, that is the plan. In fact, the work on Yonge Slip is considered "early works" which means it will happen very early in the buildout of the Waterfront East LRT.

Does anybody have insight into why this was delayed? The funding commitment will surely have impact over the coming months, but it would still be great to keep council and the public updated on the current state of planning.

I believe the latest plans were to go before council in April. Is that still the case?

IIRC a lot of the cost is for the underground work under Bay and at Union Station. Not a normal dedicated tram ROW.

Executive Committee is meeting on March 10th with full Council meeting on 25th through 27th. These are the last meetings that will meet the first quarter of 2026 deadline. Does anybody have insight into timelines for the presentations?
