I'm curious what will end up replacing The Bay. Although it's been mostly dead for the past six or seven years, it's been such a part of the Fairview that I can't imagine it not being there.

Does anyone know what is happening to the Men's Banana Republic? It's not there anymore.

I dropped by the Bay today, thinking there might be some deals, but didn't really see anything I wanted to buy. I did notice the Hugo Boss section was completely gone and taped off, which makes me wonder what they do with the more expensive brands if they're not putting them on the salesfloor.

Winners used to have a week where they would get real luxury brands, and they were all in this one section. The items would still be way more expensive than anything in the store, but drastically reduced from their original price. I don't know if they do that anymore. The craziest thing I saw...

I almost never find anything in Winners that I want to buy, but I also often check if I'm near one. Always hoping to find something. I feel like the College location is also the only good Winners.

It didn't help that the escalators often didn't work once you got up to the men's floor.

I suppose that's true if you're someone who doesn't care about clothing beyond the basic need for it. But I found it convenient to have it separated by brand, since it let you go straight to the brands you knew.

And yet, any time I walked through the Fairview location, especially in the last five years, the women's section looked deserted. The men's section was slightly better, but it became a really shoddy department store.

I was just at the Fairview Mall this afternoon and saw the Club Monaco was all boarded up. It had been there for at least 20 years, and now CM seems to have permanently closed this location.

This is my biggest issue with it. I don't think it looks nearly as inviting as it did in the renders.

I've heard such things sometimes happen, but it's wild to me that people would ask for the dome to be closed, oblivious to the fact there's several thousand other people in the building.
