Are they allowed to put advertisements up before the project has been approved? What if it gets rejected? I know they will obviously have to take it down, but wouldn't it be better to wait until it gets approved before we start advertising it?
Oxford place proposal is taller and better looking imo. However, I actually like this a lot too. I kinda expected an "unflat" top but it still looks better than majority of the proposals we have gotten. Imo it is better than both 1 bloor east and aura :)
Like I said I respect your opinion and not everyone is going to love EVERY one of Gehry's works. I just feel like calling it a pile of trash is an exaggeration, which is what I meant when I said that this is the reaction unique projects get in Toronto.
And I think its worth noting that...
Although i respect your opinion, I would like to say that this is why Toronto doesn't get many unique and interesting developments. It seems that when someone tries to step out of the box even a little they are met with this kind of reaction.
I know right???!!!! If there is any place in ALL of Toronto that deserves a project this massive, it has got to be Yonge Street! This area has so much potential and a downsized version of this project would be a tragedy imo.
Do we have a confirmed height on this?
Also they seem to be proposing multiple towers again, any chance they remove a couple of buildings and increase height like M+G and hopefully One Yonge?
Is there any chance of these beauties actually getting approved and built at their current height?
If so, this is the only project I like more than Pinnacle One Yonge and Oxford Place.
These towers are absolutely breathtaking and are an amazing addition to our growing skyline. They do...
Im terribly sorry for bringing up a thread that has been dead for 2 years without having any news on the project but is this project cancelled??? I have looked everywhere and I can't find any information on the current status of the proposal.
Firstly, if we are talking about skylines, Hong Kong has the best skyline in the world. Some will argue that NYC has a better skyline but I personally think there is no area in NYC where you can take a picture of the ENTIRE skyline and make it look as good as the picture of Hong Kong's skyline...
Why do people constantly smash skyscrapers in Asian cities? I understand that a lot of the skyscrapers in Asian cities are rather pointless and empty, but in a city like Toronto they wouldn't be. I also understand that Toronto is an amazing city that doesn't need to "copy" or "follow" the steps...
