Exactly after the feasibility studies, they will probably say it’s too expensive and there are cheaper alternatives which can do the same job.

Highway 401 Transit and Auto Tunnel

The only way this would even work was if it was tolled. But instead of doing this why don’t they propose to work with the Feds to do a phase 2 of the HFR or high speed rail line with stops at Pearson, Kitchener, London, and Windsor.

Highway 401 Transit and Auto Tunnel

Yes that’s what should have been done. At least the portion in downtown. Instead we put lipstick on a pig and kept that eyesore up.

    VIA Rail

It seems we are backwards here at times. What is wrong with Air Canada joining the bid? Why must there be some ulterior motive? Aren't airlines partnering with high speed trains all the time in Europe and no one bats an eye to it.

Plus their demographics are different. Brampton seems more like a working class suburb with a large international student population who don’t own cars and are willing to use transit. The cities in York Region are more of upper middle class white collar job types who drive. I doubt you’re...

We have Patrick Brown wanting to bury this LRT through downtown Brampton which is nothing special. If they can build the tram in Seville...

    Inspiration From Montreal

Toronto can learn a lot from Montreal. In many ways it feels like it's a bigger city. We need to go learn from them how to build public spaces. Is it even to build something like the Quartier des spectacles in Toronto ? It's impossible.
