Big fan of this proposal. Especially the Food Building reorientation. I also like that this feels purposeful, incremental and attainable. A targeted improvement to enhance what's already there, leaving room for more improvements in the future.
I believe it's for the cycling and pedestrian bridge for the West Toronto Rail path.

Yesterday from the Dundas and Lansdowne No Frills parking lot. Massive rig, was hard to capture it from the ground. Maybe creating the foundations for the Railpath bridge that will cross the tracks here?
My big ask would be to please improve the pedestrian experience in the meantime. Both when you try to walk into the plaza or past it, there are so many driveway lanes from the Pizza Nova all the way to the Kal Tire and then the high school driveway, walking up to the subway or UPX station is a...
CF and MLSE? I agree the public sector shouldn't build sports venues for billionaire owners. I honestly don't think the province should be in the convention building business either. I'm pretty aligned with John Michael McGrath's analysis on this.
No, but if MTCC vacates they'll no longer have...
Just a little thought experiment:
1) Build a new state of the art soccer stadium at East Harbour. BC Place scale. No more embarrassing temporary stands for major tournaments. Could also host mega concerts like O2/Wembley to replace the need for Rogers Stadium at Downsview. Could spur...
Office building at 1900 Dundas St. West at Sterling Rd. is being demolished. Believe it is owned by Nestle, formerly leased by City of Toronto. Maybe an extension to the chocolate factory coming? Anyone know what's coming here?
Couldn't find an existing thread. Please move to appropriate...
I think you're mistaken. The proposal would bring the North and South sections of Perth Ave closer to alignment, normalizing the intersection and allow for pedestrian crossing on both sides. Currently they are offset.
I would also support a realignment of Sterling Rd to meet with Symington...
Love Redpath. Love seeing the big ships in the harbour. Only thing I would ask would be to replace this ugly chain link fence with a beautiful brick wall, or maybe a wrought iron fence. A little bit of beautification would go a long way.
EOY Update: still a blight on the neighbourhood and a living indictment of Toronto's failed housing policy 18 years since this thread started! Fingers crossed for 2026!
