I have the exact humming noise in my unit. I am pretty sure is the cheap elevator that we have and I can hear it most often during rush hours. After the hum, there is always two clicks. I asked the management to come, but they never showed. i actually wasted a day waiting at home for them to...

Sigh..The noise is likely the elevator. I think so because 2 of the 5 elevator were broken for few days and I heard less of the elevator noise. weird thing is that my unit is no even against the elevator? The Motor is at the bottom, so it should not be the motor. I do agree that Westone is...

Because Cityplace should disclose this to buyers since they know about their own projects. TCHC are taxpayers money, and everyone has the right to say about it. There are also issue of decreasing rental value of their own Condo units.

Actually, each extra floors cost more money when you buy condos. Hence less probability of being covered. So it is the risk that you take when you pay cheaper price for the same-view condo units. So this price was built in.

Not just my window, but many of the CP owners' window. And good planning and other ways can be done to reduce poverty other than create unease with surrounding community. Giving people jobs and sense of accomplishment instead of handing them all the goods imo is a better poverty prevention. All...

City should consider the equity of the owners at city place, overall balance of utility of this community. There is a probability decrease in rental value when the rent is significantly lower just beside you and blocking many units of CP owners. Why not? logic and math Why should i try to...

my intention of the post is the poor planning of the government and Cityplace, by putting such a tall building that will potentially cause concern of the surrounding. Like I said, the building can be much shorter but broader. 9 foot ceiling is not necessary for TCHC unless they are selling them...

Wow, people are getting this all wrong, I really have nothing against low income earners. After reading some post about the range of income to qualify for TCHC, I am actually consider one. I Just want my investment to be safe, and I just hope the tower can be designed to be less intrusive. I m...

I actually don't mind having poor people mixed with high/Middle income and that was not my main focus of complaint. It is having luxurious condo built higher and better than "your" paid condo. tell me you will not be bitter. If you are not bitter then you are just lying. It's human nature. Ask...

yep, why work hard when the tax you pay is going against you. Canada's tax system is not meant to motivate you to work hard, it tells you to evade tax and do underground business so you can get better benefit! Sigh

I Total agree with you, I should have gone to the meeting to make my point. I said everything you said in this forum, but you just put it in a better context. Why people pay more money for Cityplace when TCHC make better housing luxury for low income renters. I work hard like the rest of the...

Well for me I feel that if I just paid for building using my life saving and found out that across you is low income paying less than you and get better view is quite a slap to me. I find some of the comparison to be unfarir, CEO milking and people stealing Mp3 is not something that we all...

I know this is a dangerous topic and I was just speaking the obvious since I know personally people who are milking the system and block 31 is just an example of luxurious estate for people on welfare. Block 32 and Block 36 seem like a reasonable spot but Block 31 just pissed me off. why all...

I believe the Government needs to reduce taxes and promote people to work hard and spend instead of pampering the people who does not work hard thinking welfare may get them through. I am not into politics, but many other city does not have such amazing support for the less fortunate and...
