Haven’t thought of Sam Lee in decades!

I drove by there a thousand times coming home from Chinatown....Never registered as it disappeared after the turn of the century.... what year was it torn down?

Truly a shame that there is not enough to keep this part of town alive.......We were there maybe 6 years ago and found a BBQ place and it was pretty good...Not sure of the name or even if it is still in business. But a lot of history here......

My parents had a takeout joint on coxwell from 57 to 91..... after they sold it, it lasted another 16 years and finally disappeared after its 50th anniversary..... I frequented after the sale and miss their unique breaded shrimps to this day!

i remember as a kid in the seventies I bought a bottle of green glow paint for building model kits etc...i spilt some on the sofa and there was a patch of glow for years when the lights were turned off...I wonder if there was any radioactivity in that paint???? I even can remember the smell of...
