    Owning my own GC company since 1987 i can say from my own experience that $100,000.00 build in 1987 could not be done for $800.000.00 today. Construction cost adjusted to inflation doesn't work very well in the construction industry. What you could build in 1969 for $30M cannot be built today...

Projects are announced and 4 years later they are still discussing on how to get it done. The Gardiner rehab was done quicker with the help of the province but that's not the only reason...
