    GO 2.0 Expansion Plan

Not a bad thing to pitch as a "nation building" project either as the feds have big money to spend on "major projects."

    GO 2.0 Expansion Plan

#10, the east-west line would be completely transformational for the region and this seems to be saying it's the next project in line as it's the only one to exceed the performance criteria. Forget tunnels and more highways, build this and connect so many of the regional centres and GO lines!

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

The GO station shouldn't even be considered until there's far more frequent service and express trains. Otherwise, it's just making a long slow trip even longer.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

At West Highland Creek on the Stouffville Line, there's equipment being set up and new materials (those white "bails" they put in the water, I think?). Could this be the start of the great crossing?

I like how the lower cladding mirrors Jorgenson Hall's reflective lines of windows but vertically instead of horizonal. It blends in well from the east.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

RTO is broadly destroying quality of life in the GTA, but I welcome any increase in service generally.

I've criticized them a ton here, but this is nice and hopefully a sign of things to come.

    Toronto 1255 The Queenway | 210.1m | 65s | Figtree Holdings | Studio JCI

Are there plans for major transit expansion nearby? This is an incredible amount of density for an area that seems to only have bus service.

    Markham 8651 9th Line (Phase 1) | 105m | 31s | Diamondwood | Arcadis

It's nice to see density near the bus terminal.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Express service on a non-Lakeshore line would be game changing for GO. I'm still hopeful for Stouffville, but the new stations at Finch and East Harbour will probably just add more time to a service that's gotten much slower over the years.

In Niagara, the worse the rendering, the more likely it'll get built.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

Thanks for the updates, all! Frequencies in Markham are slowly getting better, and I'm glad YRT has finally remembered they built a bus terminal in Cornell.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Workers doing something at the famous missing West Highland Creek bridge on the Stouffville line today. The mystery continues.

    Toronto The Hangar District | 74m | 23s | Northcrest | Perkins Eastman

With all the transit serving the area, isn't this appropriate? It's still less dense -- at first glance -- than the existing plans for Vaughan Centre, Markham Centre or Mississauga City Centre, which are nowhere near as well connected to transit.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

You would think YRT could figure something out for York Region's most important street with three major growth centres and numerous other local growth centres.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

Why are the rapidways on Highway 7 only being used frequently on weekdays? Traffic is awful on weekends; use the infrastructure and ridership will build. All of highway 7 deserves frequent service as well, my goodness.
