    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

There is something that seems very indulgent and selective about the Italy trip. I have no issues with councillors attending conferences or junkets. Next month, Mayor Chow and Councillor Fletcher are going to L.A. to promote Toronto's film industry. The film industry brings in billions to the...

    Toronto Sunnybrook Plaza Redevelopment | 56.92m | 16s | RioCan | Turner Fleischer

I'll be happy to see an increase in density to the site, in particular to the 16s building. Still, I suspect there will be many cries of a "bait and switch" from locals, given their opposition to taller developments in the area.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I support the current amount of proposed density, and would support more density, but only if the Waterfront LRT is 100% funded.

    Toronto Maple Leafs

Well, expect to see a lot of changes this off-season. Keefe, Marner and Tavares are probably all gone.

    Whitby Wellings of Whitby | ?m | 15s | Triovest | Onespace

Very squat pair of condos, like they were supposed to be 35 storeys but ran out of materials.

Canadian Soccer Association to bid for 2026 World Cup

Good eye. I suspect it would be a ticketed and limited capacity event, sort of like Maple Leaf Square during the NHL/NBA playoffs.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

Doug Ford and the PCs keep both seats in today's by-elections, including increasing their vote percentage in Milton over 2022. https://www.elections.on.ca/en/election-results.html (link updated)

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

I can't believe it still hasn't been fixed. Such an embarrassment for the city. A dilapidated fountain in possibly the busiest area for tourists in the city.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I've been to Union Station on busy summer weekends where a Jays game is on and have seen people of all backgrounds cross the tracks.

    44 Park Lane Circle, Toronto (2s, ?, ?)

    Hopefully a nice 20 storey co-op building.

    Toronto Media Landscape and Personalities

Yep, aren't the segments for daytime shows, as well as the breakfast shows, mostly paid content by advertisers?

    Toronto 5 Huntley | 209.2m | 63s | EHLP | Turner Fleischer

I could be convinced that this site should have a 63 storey tower. But not with this render.

Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Bell Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

Agreed. Since it was first built, the Lightbox has sort of blended in with the massive new developments in the area. It doesn't scream "landmark."

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Thanks, Northern, for the update. As I noted in my previous post, I supported a modest increase in density over the original proposal, and I think the newest proposal hits the sweet spot. I know there have been some rumblings on UT and social media that Villiers Island is still not dense...

    Toronto 1930-1938 Bloor West | 62.31m | 17s | Old Stonehenge | Baron Nelson Architects

Disappointing. I think 17s is perfect for the site and would be my ideal height for the northern border of High Park.
