Yonge Street definitely needs to be pedestrianized. There's zero reason for anyone to need to drive it.

Personally I think it's a shame we don't have high floor LRTs, as it seems like those systems get proper stations built instead of the bare bones stops that Hurontario and Finch got.

Exactly. We’re not all lucky enough to be on the Lakeshore line which rarely has buses, most lines are a mix of train and bus and having to find a different screen for the same service is annoying AF, especially when the bus terminal is so far away.

I fail to see how GO bus departures shouldn't be on the same screen as GO train departures. The fact that they have been separated irritates me to no end. Do they really expect people to just look at their phones instead?

Hmm for some reason I have a memory of the either reading or seeing the Mississauga Transit garage as being located on Bloor Street prior to it becoming Central Parkway. I guess it's a false or imagined memory though.

If I know anything about transit in Toronto / Ontario, it's that we don't always take best practices from other parts of the world, no matter how useful it might be.

It’s a train station. Food is one thing that I think works. My huge pet peeve is the lack of departure boards in the food court(s). It is a train station! More GO boards. More VIA boards. More bus boards.

I think this province has far more experience building roads/highways than LRTs/subways, so in a way it's not surprising, although it is still an indictment of Eglinton in particular.

Someone mentioned that it was to avoid duplicating the Central Parkway name on the Mississauga Transitway. It's Mississauga's fault for trying to build a ring road and renaming Bloor to Central Parkway. Although if it were still called Bloor, then you'd have Metrolinx say that's a duplicate name...

Is it just me or is it no ridiculous to spend money on customs / border stuff between Canada and the US? We should be working toward a Schengen-like area with the US, not building more barriers. Or if it's too much effort to do this with the US, then join the Schengen area. If Norway and Iceland...

Yeah....I guess you can say it's kinda closed, but everyone is still walking there. I was last there Monday/Tuesday, and where it is really closed is at the bridge itself, so no problem to get to the GO station. They'd have to dig it up to keep me from getting to my GO station.

There's a lot more continuous track north of Eglinton versus the south.

I never thought the TTC was good at naming stations (pretty sure they gave us Pioneer Village as a station name) but Metrolinx seems to be even worse.
