God this sign is so ugly. Also it's wrong. Vertical signage is always rotated 90 degrees from original alignment, not 270 degrees... This reads "099". Stupid sign.

They should PAY developers to build in this area. Jesus it looks like a bomb went off at Dundas and Sherbourne. Shell-shocked people roaming around looking lost and dazed. I feel uncomfortable even driving through that intersection after dark.

my guess is that it isn't part of some new attraction where people can go and walk on the roof. the fences are way too low for that to be allowed. it's probably just as RC8 said, maintenance.... boring but necessary

I think the transit score algorithms of the site are somewhat flawed. My house got a Walkbility score of 38 but a transit score of 98 because of the bus route near it. Perhaps they weight the proximity of bus routes and RT stops the same in their calculations? I'll have to read more about their...
