True, but on average condos tend to be less expensive than a house. I don't have any numbers but if I were to guess I'd say the average condo is worth about 300k , and the average house is worth about 500k, I'm probably off on the exact numbers but probably not by much. Condo maintenance fees...

The property taxes on a house are much higher than they are for a condo, so although the maintenance fees are higher for a condo, the cost pretty much evens out in the end.
