    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

I don't know if I'd trust milk being unrefrigerated for that long. Considering that a GO train trip from Union to home is likely in the area of 1 hr, I'd probably be more likely to pick up the milk locally once I get off the train rather than at the beginning of the trip. And I'd assume that...

    Cruise Ship Terminal

There's two ways to deal with cruise ships. 1 is to put all the amenities cruise passengers would need (bars, restaurants, brew pubs, sights, etc) right next to the port (see Halifax). The other is to have great transit connections from the ship port to the main parts of the city. This is...

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

Imagine the park we could have if both the island residents and the island airport weren't there

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

Purely being a devil's advocate here but how many people live on the island? If 2 million people per year using the airport is an extremely small segment, than what does that make the 700 residents of the islands?

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Yes part of the issue is that the Union Station revitalization is by definition an exercise in compromise. Yes there is no single main area for passengers to wait for their trains, because they had to work around the existing building.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Keeping in mind the natural behaviour of Union station passengers to congregate around departure boards some thought is needed in their placement. The last thing I'd want to do is place signs in such a way that they result in crowds blocking major ingress/egress and through access. In the...

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

Was at the game Friday evening. Seated in section 103 outfield. Seems like they removed some legroom from each row of seats in order to be able to squeeze another row of seats in. It was near Sunwing/Rouge level of tiny seating. My partner and I were literally rubbing shoulders the whole...

    Toronto Scotiabank Arena Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | BBB

Is there not some sort of blueprints/plans available online for this project? Aside from the few renderings. Wouldn't there be a development proposal made to the city of Toronto? I just want to know more about the renovation.

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

Thanks for this! How funny that the first illustration for the expansion of T1 virtually replicates the demolished T2 building.

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

Pearson's "LIFT" renovation plans mentions 1) a new interim terminal. A renovation or rebuild of the infield terminal? 2) renovation of T1/T3 and 3) Expansion of T1 facilities. Unfortunate that current leadership is lacking in details regarding these projects. Link here: Lift Program

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I don't think the eastern portion of the Pickering rail link is necessary, especially considering it would need significant new railway. The benefit of having a rail link to any potential Pickering airport is drawing from the large population base WEST of the airport lands, not the east. GO...

2022 Transportation Master Plan (TMP) - York Region

400/Teston seems like an ideal location for a SPUI interchange. The surrounding built up area blocks the traditional Ontario Parclo's. Forcing an awkward interchange for the SB 400

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

And if we can take even 20% of those personal vehicles off that road and on to transit those commercial vehicles would be able to move more easily

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Transit operating at or above capacity does cause problems. Slower loading/unloading times, passengers left behind at downstream stations, unsafe in the event of an emergency. See Bloor-Yonge station, and this is why alternative routes (DRL/OL) have long been proposed.

    General railway discussions

A great example of this is residents who complain about Toronto Pearson's flight paths despite yyz being nearly 60 yrs old the the communities complaining being recent developments (in the last 20 to 30 yrs)

    Canadian Highway Fantasy Thread

I'd have a Barrie "bypass" travel roughly SW to somewhere around Kitchener/Guelph. With the idea being that it would allow for travel from northern Ontario to sw Ontario without entering the GTA. Particularly for transport trucks.

    Caledon-Vaughan GO Rail Line

My fantasy would be a NW extension to Collingwood and trigger some increased tourism at Blue Mountain and the surrounding area.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Would love to see the return of Harvey's to union. How about a Baskin Robbins or dairy queen. Get your ice cream fix on a hot summer day. A Panini shop would be nice as well or even Mr sub

    Caledon-Vaughan GO Rail Line

I thought the rail line connecting Allendale in Barrie to Collingwood (and the bala sub) had been abandoned
