    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Yes, those of us who keep up with UT (and others like Steve Munro) know (or have a very good idea of) the opening date!! :->

and wise to do so too!

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

This whole project, from 'planning' ( I use the word loosely) to execution has been an embarrassment - if Parks & Recreation know the meaning of the word!

    Common sense and experience, maybe!

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

No point in installing cables and THEN removing any asbestos!

That is exactly the opposite of what Steve reported..

Spaces (former WE Charity HQs, 345 Queen St E, TriAxis, 3s, Kohn Partnership)

You make good points but I disagree that this Library is not going to be useful. However, it was 'sold' to the TPL Board and Council, because it is going to replace the current St Lawrence Branch which will be closed. We completely agree that the new Library will NOT replace the current (small...

Spaces (former WE Charity HQs, 345 Queen St E, TriAxis, 3s, Kohn Partnership)

The temporary tent LOCATION (125 The Esplanade) was a perfectly good location for a St Lawrence Library branch , the tent itself would not be a good place - it is reaching the end of its life and is starting to disintegrate. It will (supposedly) be removed 'soon'.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

That is true, the real problem is that 24 Councillors are trying to do the work of 48 (or whatever). The answer would be to get more Councillors (impossible with Mr Ford) or have less work. Councillors spend lots of time dealing with things that staff ought to do and/or discussing things that...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

There is usually lots of business at CCs in November and, though I agree that with the 'new' smaller Council, people are busy and have multiple commitments, Councillors need to look carefully at time allocation - their own and those of committees, and need to work longer hours if it is necessary...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Probably a good idea but I still cannot see why the Committee did not adjourn and reconvene today or Monday.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

As the Infrastructure committee ran out of time (it was about to lose quorum) the Cycling Motion is going "Without Recommendations" to Council. Not quite sure why the committee did not return tomorrow but better it goes to Council next week - though I fear there will be lots of motions, if no...

    East Don Trail Project

Not uncommon to allow the bottom layer of asphalt to 'cure' for a while (particularly if they still have heavy machinery around) but the bridge ramp does seem rather slow. Is the bridge at the Forks the final one or will a Corten Steel one be slid onto the existing supports at the end of the...

I will take this seriously when we see a legitimate source....

    Toronto Parliament Slip | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto | West 8

IF the silos @ Parliament were ever fixed up. like those @ Bathurst, they would be a great book-end and they DO 'commemorate' the maritime and industrial history of the area. If they are not fixed up they will, eventually, crumble!
