    PM Mark Carney's Canada

You're mistaking my point. Yes, they'll go on the government books but capital spending wouldn't be under the top-line budgetary deficit.

@Northern Light Regarding High Speed Rail, The accounting framework will make it easier to make capital investments in the future with less impact on the budgetary deficit. This is how Ontario is able to make so many capital investments.

    Ottawa Transit Developments

Clearly you need BRT, that you can later upgrade to LRT again (single track), and then upgrade to LRT double track after that. Efficiency!

    VIVA + York Region Transit

You look at the schedules! I think you're mistaking my point, I think they keep the headway padding at the end of the route consistent. But the scheduled length of the trip is different depending on the time of day. Of course they could decide to go from 29 to 30 minutes by adding even more...

Traffic and number of buses. Too much out of line and they might add or subtract a bus.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I think raised cycle tracks are generally safer, pedestrians can easily walk across it, bikes need to yield to pedestrians boarding transit. You can use temporary ones like on King Street. It's ripe for Bus/Bike conflict with curbs removed. Buses have to merge completely into the bike lane to...

    Toronto Bloor–Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

@reinventingthewheel Ehhh, that sounds like you're giving Metrolinx a pass. I'd think it'd be Metrolinx choosing to keep tight lipped.

Yes, I was just looking for 2025 and forgot about the Ontario election. I thought it was supposed to be 45th but maybe I was mistaken when I saw 44th which is quite close.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I saw some for VIVA in York Region on Highway 7 near Richmond Hill Centre. The transit left turn signal is for left turns after a red light, before a green light for the cross traffic. Saves a lot of time compared to waiting for the advance left after the cross traffic cycle.

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

Making the transfer at Union to UP more seemless could be another way to serve Pearson without spending money. At the same time UP will need to be upgraded within 15 years?

    2025 Canadian General Election

Another Carney video with Mike Meyers, this time 2 minutes long. A more low-key frank conversation regarding his endorsement. No background hockey noise.
