The previous rendering was far superior IMO. I think for this version, a lot depends on how the balconies turn out. So far for me, they are too big and taking away from nice cladding that would give the building a better look. I'm waiting to see some of the balconies to get finished in order to...

I get all that, I'm simply saying, for a company to be so proud and pump up the fact it hit the 300m mark, you would think they would have done everything possible to get to the highest height they were allowed. Especially since is Tridel were talking about.

Sounds like you're talking about the Eglinton LRT.

I'm a little surprised Tridel didn't try and go for the higher approved height seeing as they're really hyping of the fact the building is 300m.

If you ever watched videos of youtube tourist in Toronto, many of them make that same mistake.

Lets hope this thing doesn't get built, or at least for another 10-15 years

I'm glad that we have the "bragging rights" but at the same time...when you're talking about 1 meter does anyone really notice? It's not like tourist look at the building and say "that looks about 299 meters. One short of a supertall",

I posted a while back in this thread that I have two friends that work in the industry. Both were mostly working from home. Now both are being told they will need to go into the office at least 4 days if not 5.

I doubt you'll ever see buildings with much brick or stone anymore. The best you can hope for is cladding that resembles that.
