Not to get too off track, but individual ethical choices when it comes to retailers are almost meaningless. I almost never buy anything from Amazon, and the last time I checked, it wasn't close to crumbling... I do think Whole Foods is painfully appropriate for this neighbourhood.

Riding the Lakeshore East Go Train, it's amazing to see how much construction is taking place - there is continuous Ontario Line construction happening from about Gerrard Street to the portal at the Distillery District.
