    Toronto One Bloor West | 308.6m | 85s | Tridel | Foster + Partners

I think this view from Hoskins/Queens Park is one that shows the tower off the best. The various heights of the nearby buildings provide references for scale, and they have a nice stagger.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I would argue that these stats actually prove my point, but I don't think we need to get into an argument about what constitutes "middle class" in Toronto. (40K barely pays for a 1 bedroom rental in Toronto...) But I defer to your judgment. You are obviously correct. Signal priority is not a...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

If this city was actually focused on moving people around as efficiently as possible, we could make a lot of decisions that would accomplish this. But transit is for poor people, cars are for rich people, and so cars are prioritized. Can you imagine the angry calls into Newstalk 1010 from SUV...

    Church-Wellesley Village

I will just say, I know Michael Erickson and I can't imagine another person who would have poured more of his heart and soul into the vain struggle to keep Glad Day afloat for the last decade. Bookstores are just an impossible proposition in a high rent area like Church Street. Michael told me...

    Toronto Ookwemin Minising | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

These posts show little understanding of the incredible changes Waterfront Toronto has brought to the waterfront over the last 20 years: from the wavedecks, to the Queens Quay West reconstruction, to Sugar Beach, to the waterfront promenade, to Sherbourne and Corktown Commons and now the West...

Not to get too off track, but individual ethical choices when it comes to retailers are almost meaningless. I almost never buy anything from Amazon, and the last time I checked, it wasn't close to crumbling... I do think Whole Foods is painfully appropriate for this neighbourhood.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Thanks for those before-and-afters! A good reminder of how much work has been done, and how much of an improvement it is. Remember when we all had to hoof it up those stairs in the moat?

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

It happens at Dundas West, too. Not sure how often or when, but I've seen it happen at off-peak hours.

    Toronto Ookwemin Minising | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

This is great comedy. Waterfront Toronto, barely a year after creating an entire island, have opened a park for all of Toronto to enjoy, and your big concern is that they ... didn't let people build condos first? Is this Bizzaro UrbanToronto? Should we cry hot tears for all the condo developers...

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Sorry, I can’t get over these absurd unit sizes and their absurd prices. I had no idea. It has broken my brain. I don’t want to shame any owners, but I’m just mystified as to how the transactions necessary to fund this building happened. After the market correction has finally worked its way...

Homelessness on the TTC (catch all)

As someone who lived in Parkdale for a long time, I have endured a lot of anti-social behaviour on the Queen Streetcar. There's plenty of times I've adopted a 1,000 yard stare to avoid a conflict with someone itching for a fight. I also don't think it's great to have people use drugs on the TTC...

    Toronto Ookwemin Minising | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Ookwemin Minising is a ten minute bus ride from Union station on the 114. There's no need for a ferry.

The park is amazing. The amount of wildlife is incredible.

There’s a giant crane next to Concord Sky. Not sure if it’s for this building site:

Took these on Thursday, July 24: Wonder what these short height boxes with windows will be. Can people stand in them?

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Riding the Lakeshore East Go Train, it's amazing to see how much construction is taking place - there is continuous Ontario Line construction happening from about Gerrard Street to the portal at the Distillery District.
