There have been some phenomenal photos posted to this thread over the past few days. Thanks to everyone that contributed!

At a really quick glance, I thought that first one was a rendering. That type of "mood" lighting is often used in them.

    The geographic divide in Toronto

I pretty much call anything east of Yonge street the 'east side'. Unless it's Scarborough, in which case I'll call it the 'east end'. I just assumed everyone did that, but it looks like that's nowhere near to being the case.

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

Am I seeing a bike path on the right and a sidewalk on the left? Or is the bike path on the street? If it's the former, there will definitely need to be additional separation of some sort. Perhaps a yellow line or something. You can be sure that walkers/joggers will dart onto the bike lane...

Dress codes on city owned golf courses?

It's one of the things that turns me off of golf as well, though I do like to play it. I'm shocked, first, that there's a City-run facility, and second that the City would require a dress code such as that.

    Toronto 300 Front Street West | 156.05m | 49s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

I'm reserving my final judgement until after the blinds have been installed. The spandrel is a pastel enough colour that if the right blinds are put it it may end up blending together better.

Trinity Bellwoods Park to face alcohol crackdown

And people with stinky breath, or those that wear really bright clothes. Both are offensive to my nasal-gazing sensibilities. Better idea; make it easier to dispose of budds - and I don't mean those absolutely ridiculous cigarette disposal "holes" in the City garbage bins that fill up after 5...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Sorry, but this isn't always true. For some that are indoctrinated, there is no comparison between the two. The threat of hell and an always-present judge and jury that not only watches what you do, but what you 're thinking, to make a judgement..... I don't know that I'd call it child abuse...

    Time for Ranked Ballots

I'd like to see a new voting system in place simply in the hopes that it results in a more representative mayor. Something I don't believe we've seen since amalgamation.

Is this an actual proposal or a fantasy? I'm business partner of the owners of this building and am surprised to see this.

Maybe we can stop quoting this person? That's being stated as fact and seems way premature in my opinion.

Agreed. While that may indeed be what Cook is getting at, lets hear it actually said and from some additional sources. By the way, has anyone else been having an exceptionally difficult time concentrating at work these past few weeks?

    Rob Ford's Toronto

I do. In my opinion, Doug is speaking to Ford Nation. He knows that few of them will second-guess what he's saying, and by throwing the word "extortion" into the mix (even though the word doesn't apply) he's making things sound more extreme. Words like "extortion" automatically get people's...

Talk of that shredded paper having any relevance is a huge leap in my opinion.

"Last week when the Gawker story alleging crack cocaine use broke, Ford’s senior staff outlined three options for Ford to respond to the scandal." I find the wording here interesting, coming from the Sun. No reference to the "evil" Star here. They're crediting (acknowledging) Gawker for...
