    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

When did I say that? I just pointed out it’s unlikely a troll is going to go waste hours to collect data. On the other hand plenty of people here have been objectively nasty to me, and not a peep. Y’all even joke about “little breaks” because it’s cool to pick on me! but it’s totally cool to...

    Toronto Bike Share

I noticed that the stations around Humber Bay are often full pretty early into the evening rush-hour, if they do expand, hopefully they’ll put enough stations around the border so that it’s not an issue. Also, I realized I never posted a map of the bird no ride zones. It feels weird even...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I'll re word it, since I realize it sounds a bit ambiguous. The footage starts at 6AM and runs till about 7PM. That's 13 hours of video x3 days, since I'm counting thousands of objects I have to pause, then note the vehicle mode/direction into excel. I have to either pause to count, or watch 5...

    Toronto Bike Share

Bike share operates at a loss, so they'd have to subsidize it. I think that's why the Ok'd lime/bird because it meant the city got a boost for free. Aside from some trails there aren't really any good biking routes I'm familiar with. Also I don't think either are comparable, giant swaths of...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

How am I trolling? I've given sources for some of my claims, and unlike others I'm not throwing insults at people. I go out in the real world and have spend dozens of hours collecting data to share here. The 3 days of sifting through footage took me over 100 hours.... I've even shared...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Not everyone is driving but based on my own research a lot of the people biking have money for an electric bike or lycra. The majority of low wage workers aren't taking bikes, they're on the TTC

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

As for North Queen - it terminates in Sherway Gardens. Which has a lot of young employees who can't afford to drive. There's more than enough space between the curb and the sidewalk to add bike lanes. I feel like this is a misconception, basically all of the lower income people I know drive, as...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

If it's a rebuild that's a fair thing do to! If it's a multi use trail like the North end I doubt most people would be against it. (see photo) I think grade separating the lanes and adding a multi use trail is indeed a good idea. From what I remember it won't be like that and they're going to...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

The fact I could see the Kipling and Bloor intersection from my window, and never saw a bike. I've posted bike usage for the Bloor street extension, where you could argue there merit for a lane. It does actually lead somewhere and there is density and places to shop etc on the route. Bikes...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Is everyone so blinded we can't see reality? It's hilarious to see people arguing against subway lines here because there won't be many users (Sheppard extensions) Kipling is an Arterial road in an industrial area. The west side has hydro equipment, and various warehouses (some owned by the TTC)...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

AFAIK islington is planned to have a bike lane in the near future, as well as Kipling. I'm not against having a lane if the demand warrants it but seeing how the Bloor street extension, full of houses and places to go at a short distance has minimal ridership for the time being, the city would...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I drove across some of the line yesterday, it seems that the final paving is actually starting/finishing.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Lanes are being added to Islington which is 1 street over, I think it's an incredible waste of money to add them to an area that will see nearly zero use. Why not add them to the Gardiner and 401 by that logic. Everything needs a balance

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I don't doubt some sections of the lanes are used! I think like all things there has to be a balance between idealism and reality. Like adding lanes to the industrial section of Kipling seems idiotic

    VIA Rail

How bad do you find winter delays to be? Consider taking it out west but the schedule doesn't leave much of a buffer for getting home on time

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

The accident part is a good point, though afaik rail stuff isn't under the HTA

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Guess we're going What is causing the max speed of 60? I would assume stop spacing and not wanting to brake too hard?

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Thank you for the Drone shots! I saw people complaining about the noise but if you told them it'd be done this much in 3 days they wouldn't believe you!

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

afaik that specific model of light is very old, I wish Toronto would upgrade to LED when repairing/redoing an area. They were installing old style lights in new projects as recently as last year
