650 King West (Freed Developments) - Real Estate -

Some of the balconies feature planters which have their own automatic irrigation system. The boxwoods were planted not so long ago, so I'm sure they need some good watering to get them established especially in this heat.

Condo market slows down in GTA?

I believe quality properties in good locations will continue to do relatively well. I hope this slowdown will weed out developer-type pre-con condos selling in the $600-700/sq.ft. range. These units serves no benefit to end users and only makes the issue of affordable homeownership even worse.

    Toronto Cinema Tower | 142.64m | 43s | Daniels | Kirkor Architects

Looks almost Southwestern, or Adobe-inspired. Material-wise I don't think it works here and it also has no relationship with the tower above.

I've walked by that many times -- that has to be one of the smallest sales office I have ever seen! Looks like there's not going to be a model suite in there, unless they have 100 sq.ft. condo units.

    Toronto Parade at Concord CityPlace | 127.4m | 44s | Concord Adex | P + S / IBI

Concord Adex should have publicized this event, that would have brought more people and press out, and make for a great community event. Everyone wins. The project is called Parade, there should have been one, though not in the middle of the night. Concord missed the opportunity to add more...

    Toronto 357 King West | 148.13m | 42s | Great Gulf | BDP Quadrangle

There's nothing exclusive about new condos these days. 40+ stories, 500+ units, cookie cutter units, glass boxes with balconies... The entire city is grossly oversaturated with these new massive condo developments in general. I agree that these is a ton happening in the ED. In roughly a two...

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

I sure that sign is temporary. 'Sony' is not even in their trademark font. You can't get any generic that what it is already there. I'm guessing they're waiting until the outside is finished to put a proper illuminated sign up.

Massey Tower Condos (Mod Developments) - Real Estate -

Another concern to think about: Cadillac Fairview is considering building a commercial tower on top of the Eaton Centre, closer towards Queen Street. This will be approximately 1 million sq.ft. of office space, which could potentially mean a 40-storey building blocking the southwest view from...

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

You mean renting them. Most of the buyers won't be living there.

88 Scott St. (Concert Properties) - Real Estate -

I really like the interiors and finishes. It's so refreshing to see a developer using a design firm like Union 31 rather than the usual go-to condo interior designers like Cicconi Simone.

    Condo storage lockers

I had a friend who was looking at a unit at Massey Tower and was surprised to learn that the developer is not providing any storage lockers at all! You can't buy one at any price, however you could buy a parking space for $60,000 (after a $9000 discount) but only for the two largest models...

2 Ossington (@ Queen, NDS Properties, 4s, SMV Architects)

it's like a modern typology of the apartment/flat over a store, however the scale and proportions look very clumsy and awkward here. I think 4 or 5 stories with the top level or two terraced back would look the most appropriate here.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

Not exactly sketchy, just chaotic and dumpy. You have a ton of people, all kinds of characters (tourists, kids, mall rats, transients, families who shop, you name it) congregating in one of the largest malls in the country and Toronto's version of Times Square. With hoardes of people there will...

    opinions please

When do you close on the unit? Do take photos next time you're there or after you move in. I think we are all curious to see the place furnished.

Toronto King Portland Centre and Kingly Condos | 57.6m | 15s | Allied | Hariri Pontarini

I hope Context will work things out soon and hope it wouldn't result in much or any changes to the original design. This development will be a huge asset and amenity to the area. It will also benefit the neighboring new developments on this block such as Six50, One Eleven, and Musée.

    Condo storage lockers

I am just curious about the typical sizes of storage lockers. Lockers range anywhere from $3000-$5000 from the developer. I've heard that some developers even offer a choice of larger locker units for a premium. Developers rarely show floor plans of the storage locker, and often you don't have...

    88 Scott - Opinions

The extra high ceilings is definitely a big plus and something you rarely see in new construction condos. With loft units balconies are extremely rare and windows tend to be on the smaller side. Sometimes balcony space is overrated, especially when it's too close to a busy street or too high...
