The irony is that these sellers and agents who practice this are not Asian and it's often a sign that there is some kind of deficiency with the property. Buyers are much smarter than that.

No developer would want to reveal that 60-95% of their units were sold to investors. These mega high rise condos on Yonge St., in the Entertainment District and along the Gardiner are essentially glorified rental buildings.

Too bad Cityplace didn't extend some kind of lease offer to Amsterdam to keep it in the neighbourhood. I think one of the two large retail space at Parade under the bridge would be a great location, and will more life and activity there though it will need to rely on the connection of Fort York...

Anyone spending over $700/sq.ft. for a awkwardly designed unit with standard cookie cutter finishes and features must be nuts, especially in this market. The investor market is going into hibernation. You could do much better in a much nicer neighbourhood.

I think Brad Lamb has made plenty of money these past few years for him to take a little break from developing. He's still collecting some good commercial rent from the properties he's sitting on. There's a lot of inventory out there and more to come so his realty business should keep him busy...
