I actually think there's a huge appetite for a new stadium. Whenever it's teased, it's makes a ton of headlines and people get excited. It has to be private money though. I want a new stadium so bad but not with public funds. I don't think there's any appetite at all for one with public...

hey, i'm in agreement as i stated in my post but they're clearly going to look at both routes and both of them come with a can of worms.

are you a baseball fan? and if so, have you been to other ballparks? Rogers Centre is miserable by comparison. your question 1 makes me think you haven't been anywhere. At all ballparks, the seats are oriented towards home plate. At the Dome, they're just facing forward to the field so...

haven't seen it but let me elaborate. the jays only open the roof under the most optimal conditions. if it's even a little cool out, they keep it closed. on sunny days, they'll open it. what should be the case instead is to build it with the idea that it'll always be open and they close it...

a roof isn't an issue at all if they build an outdoor stadium that can close instead of an indoor stadium that opens (like we have now). that way we have an open air stadium and on rainy days, they just close the lid.

no, but they're definitely darker. i lived in a N/S facing townhome where the living space was on the north side and there was a highway sound barrier at my window and as someone who likes bright spaces, i had to leave as it was darker than I liked (was my first purchase and didn't factor that)...

i hope the owners in the units that face the other building hate sunshine as they wont get the morning or afternoon sun.

did this come in off a freighter? i was on Lake Ontario on Canada day off of Wards and saw a freighter coming west bound in the distance. it had very peculiar looking cargo that i couldn't figure out...sort of like this.

wow, they're finally clearing the land to the west of this? the foreground in your last pic used to be fenced off and just a wild jungle in there. I lived at NXT for 3 years and it was blocked the entire time i was there.

atleast it's beautiful when it hits the street. those heritages buildings are great and retail should flourish in there. It won't feel like you're walking by a new condo with glass walls and a rexall/shoppers. Just don't look up.

weird. maybe the home owner or tenant put up a silhouette as decor there deliberately? People speed like crazy on my street so i was thinking of buying a cutout of a traffic cop holding a speed gun and just putting it by the curb in the mornings.

i think maybe initially. Eventually other options come in. I was living at NXT and we had Rogers, Bell, the wholesalers, and then Fibrestream with their own wiring as well. Being in the Humber Bay Shores Community FB group also showed that tons of people living in that neighbourhood had these...

that triple tower reminds me of an extremely watered down Marina Bay Sands. Maybe they took some inspo from it.

yes, i like them too from the outside. They're beautiful. it's a shame that the interiors look cheap and there's so many horror stories coming from them.

i don't think that would be permitted. it would be too much of a distraction for cars. Digital Billboards along routes are only allowed static images and not full motion video for this reason.

not sure Southport square will ever get built.

that last pic is such a weird viewpoint because it looks so far from NXT when in reality it's right across the street and right infront of 15 windermere. That new development that is slated for just south of NXT is truly right across the street yet looks so far from Mirabella in this pic.

wow those are huge! I'll have to intercept one and divert it to my house. my house is old and the floor is slanting. If i throw that puppy in my basement, that should solve it for all of eternity. The ol' setting a nail with a sledgehammer trickaroo.
