Here's a challenge for Toronto's real estate historians. My first home was at 147 Donlands Ave., so I have a personal interest in its history. Can anyone answer these questions: - When was 147 built (c.1930?) and what was the original selling price? - Who were the first owners?

This promo-photo of a proposed new development on King St. caught my attention because of the unique structure ("King Toronto Condo"). Can we expect that it'll look this magnificent if/when completed?

Thanks to a curious observer and the enlightenment from a fine researcher. I expect many, like myself, had no idea of that 1861 change in street numbering.
