    Toronto 191 Bay | 301.74m | 64s | QuadReal | Hariri Pontarini

Why is it each time a comparison between Toronto and Chicago is made on skyscrapers, downtown, urban parks, etc. People like you bring up crime to give yourself an ego boost. Bro this is not a discussion on crime. Keep it on architecture. You use crime as a trump card to negate any criticism of...

    Toronto 191 Bay | 301.74m | 64s | QuadReal | Hariri Pontarini

Toronto city planners are quite conservative. Once they retire and a new generation takes their place, you will see much bolder designs being approved.

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Tabletop skylines get created in Toronto because other near by buildings are allowed to build to the same height. Case in point the Yonge-Gerrard area where after Aura being approved, other tall buildings are also approved for similar heights. New York for example, you have to purchase air...

We need more tall skyscrapers on the west side of the CN Tower

Yeah I think starting next spring, it will go up in a good pace once the complex initial floors are done and the floors are just repeating.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

I don't think so. I think the CN Tower's observation deck acts like a permanent height barrier to any building being constructed in the city. City officials will never approve any building which is higher than the CN Tower observation deck. They like the visual look of the CN Tower towering over...

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

This is a great public space for the city. Should inspire future generations of Toronto architects.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Because the delay of Union Station was an embarrassment to the city. So as long as the Bay Concourse was partially opened, they announced its completion. This Revitalization construction won't end for another couple of years. Probably Summer 2023.

    Mississauga Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

Why is construction so slow on this? This is the most exciting development going on in Mississauga.

Yonge Street Revitalization (Downtown Yonge BIA/City of Toronto)

My Formula for estimating the completion of projects is to take the number of years the city projects it will take to complete the project and multiply it by 2 and add 2. And so They are saying the project will take 2 years from 2023 to 2025. My formula says it will take them 6 years instead of...

    Toronto 2150 Lake Shore | 215.75m | 67s | First Capital | Allies and Morrison

I really cant wait for this to be complete. This will serve as a nice appetizer for people driving on the Gardiner Expressway for the Downtown skyline.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

The Signs are the least of the worry. This construction needs to get done. I am worried with the Mayor announcing that construction is complete no one is going to hold the contractors feet to the fire to getting the remaining construction done quickly.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

I wonder why John Tory was in a rush to announce its completion. Anyone visiting Union Station knows it's not complete. Makes Tory look incompetent.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

And now they are predicting 8-10 year construction timeframe for Union Station Enhancement Project. Given their track record, I think it will take 20 years. Probably done by 2040.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

And the restaurant in the Great Hall These guys just called a press conference to announce the Renovation is finished when it's not. They just did to avoid further embarrassment of the length of time it's taken them to finish.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

It's not complete. There are many areas which are hoarded off and also retail and other stuff is not fitted out and not to mention metrolinks fitout. Probably take another year before it's done.
