April 6 - scaffolding has been up for a couple weeks now around the spotlight art piece, not sure if that’s related to the re-cladding. If you look closely there’s a silver bracket running across the length of the side wall of the roof, which is definitely related to the re-cladding.

March 31 - as fast as this has been going, it’s becoming hard to imagine it’ll be substantially done at this point next year. Looking forward to the summer!

March 7 - off to Pakistan and Turkey for some R&R, will be back last week of March. Hoping for some better weather and maybe some glass panels on my return. :)

I'll leave it to an expert to opine on this, but I'd imagine they would be putting less resources into projects with their debts looming over them. How much of this breathing space would actually translate into taking more "risk", i.e. properly resourcing their projects, I have no idea.

January 14 - the CN Tower slowly renders on the northern face, reminding me of 1998 and 56k modems.

The two signs at the top are tasteless, and yes it’s similar to Scotiabank Arena.. although Scotiabank isn’t finished and things will get worse. This city’s signage office not only has to ensure signage compliance, but it must save companies from their own worst instincts.

Rumour is that the structural integrity of the cranes is being inadvertently impacted by the gravitional pull created by megatank (I may or may not have started this rumour.)

I didn’t think it was possible, but the editorial standards of the Toronto Sun have dropped even further.

January 10 - the jumps should be slightly quicker now. Steel framing being added again after a break over the holidays.
