    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

It was an interurban service, the Nipissing Central. There’s a bus today that still follows the route. Interestingly, the NC still exists as a paper company as the TN&O (now ONR) bought it to connect some of the mines, since the NC, unlike T&NO, had a federal charter, T&NO used it to open a line...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

There are articulated buses in the Mississauga fleet. They’re often assigned to the 109, 110, 26, 61 and 66.

    G&M:Surplus Government Lands (Lazy Lands)

The Moss Park armoury is hardly a model neighbour for the community. Remember the time a few reservists there had their kicks by beating a homeless man to death?

    G&M:Surplus Government Lands (Lazy Lands)

For the Canada Post depot on Eastern Avenue, I’d move the Moss Park Armoury there, and then add the land to Moss Park itself to accommodate the growing population in the area, with maybe one point tower on 1/3 of the site. As for Brampton Armoury, it is actively used by the Lorne Scots...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

It was a used bus. More artics are coming, but as far as I know, they are all going to be dedicated to Zum service.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

As someone who lives downtown, I find the one annual bike event on the Gardiner and DVP much less disruptive than running events (there are three of those a year). There’s no impact to TTC surface routes, no bike lanes are barricaded, pedestrians aren’t affected. Toronto closes the two...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The line map displayed in the Mount Dennis Station (visible to the public from the sidewalk/MUP) shows a connection to the GO Barrie Line at Caledonia and Line 3 Scarborough at Kennedy.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Yeah, they're only doing the 407 overpass now. Apart from the yards, there's no track laid within Brampton yet.

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

The red light came on at Krispy Kreme?

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Happens a lot, whenever a cop radios for assistance, which could be anything from a higher-risk or multiple arrest to an active shooter. If you don’t hear anything after, it was a precautionary call.

    Brampton 11860 Bramalea Road | 44.35m | 13s | MEM Group | Paradigm

A modern slab! This might be okay.

Roads: Ambassador & Gordie Howe Bridges

Detroit is definitely part of Wayne County. Each state and city is different, though in terms of makeup and division of responsibilities. Los Angeles is part of Los Angeles County as well, while San Francisco is both a city and a county with the same boundaries. Baltimore and St. Louis are...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I heard from a planner at the City of Brampton this evening that a north side stop at Steeles Avenue is probably back on - at least that's what they heard. Not a confirmation, but now that the province has committed to the Downtown Brampton extension, I don't see why that would change now...

Bradford Bypass (MTO, Hwy 400 - Hwy 404)

The QEW had two branches – the Fort Erie mainline and the Rainbow Bridge Approach. The latter was re-designated Hwy 420 in the 1970s along with reconstruction of the interchange.

    Brampton Transit/Zum

There's a lot in the MTSA consultations, with the second batch focused on Mount Pleasant, Downtown Brampton, and the Sheridan-Shoppers World area. Zum serves all of these areas. I'm inclined to leave them here for now, until they coincide with specific threads elsewhere.

2024 Mississauga Mayoral Byelection Transit Plans

Though David Miller's Transit City and RoDoFo's "subways, subways, subways" made their mark. Even Patrick Brown got an underground LRT through Brampton. If I lived in Mississauga, I'd happily vote for Alvin Tedjo. There's things I'd pick apart from his platform, yes, but he's the only one with...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Ugh. By mentioning Bill Davis all those times, he sounds as bad as Steve Paiken. Brampton, at least, only has two and a half things named for Davis (a school, a college campus, and a courthouse also named for the father – half the things named for the Queen of Sprawl in Mississauga), but don’t...

Bradford Bypass (MTO, Hwy 400 - Hwy 404)

It was a nickname given by both opponents and proponents as it would be the third Toronto bypass, and it fit the pattern of increments of 6: 401-407-413. The next one would be 419.

Because Cortellucci, De Gasparis, and Rehmatullah don’t have land in the area?

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

The number of construction lane closures between Queen and Carlton has made the reversible lane moot. North of Queen, one through lane in each direction, along with a centre turn lane would work much better. Perhaps Wellesley-Mount Pleasant should remain two through lanes in each direction just...
