Trump casts a shadow on Scotia

I noticed this evening that they activated the strobe light. It's a huge one, definitely the brightest downtown.

I walked by today and was surprised to see the parking lot is being repaved. They're about half way finished, adding a very thick layer of fresh ashphalt. They've also constructed a new concrete island beside Soho, which I'm guessing will be the foundation for a kiosk.

I'm beginning to think that perhaps the rooftop lighting will only extend as far as the length of the BMO signage (to act as accent lighting above it) -

May 14th: Looks like the rooftop perimeter will be lit. Lighting is already up and active on a portion of the north side.

April 9th update: A couple more 2x4's were hammered into the unstable wooden fencing today. This project is really moving along fast. *sigh* Are they actually planning to proceed with this project, or have they failed to sell the minimum number of units?

March 6: Does anyone know what the holdup with this one is? The only work done in the last 3 months happened this week - 3 workers showed up to nail a couple 2x4's onto the wobbly gate.

^^^ That apartment is one of the biggest eyesores downtown. It even sticks out like a sore thumb in aerial photos. What the heck were they thinking when they approved that thing in the 60's? Anyways, I doubt it will be going away anytime soon. They do a great job maintaining it.
