I'd say if the government was truly serious about reaching its gas emissions targets and lower on reliance on fossil fuels, HSR would be the way to go as you could drastically reduced the flights within that corridor. I assume that a significant amount of pollution comes from those planes. But...

Realistic plan - I think the "incremental" part of building transit has been sorely lacking in this city. BRT is the right step which doesn't prevent from planning a higher order of transit whenever governments wants to go there. This "all or nothing" approach is outdated

Whenever I look at this thread - I see "missed opportunity" - so disappointing knowing the province was going to pay for an LRT

City and TTC are dead set against elevated unless it's in the middle of nowhere. What would be criminal is not doing "cut & cover" the entire way except under the 404.

Living on the line - the alternative of having all those people on the 85 bus is worse. If anything, more rapid transit is needed both east and west. A new line? Will we ever need a "brand new line" after the Ontario Line besides extending existing lines? 1000% agree with this. Sheppard Avenue...
