    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Clearly this city has no posted signs about how King Street works. It would be a major confusion for people unfamiliar. They expect immigrants to know about the streetcar corridor announced from 2017 when they just arrived last year. They know they can't go straight but they do it anyways just...

Let's hope they were just installed incorrectly and not cause the rail moved after a bunch of test trains went by.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

It didn't go so well in some BC trials and they reduced it back down to 110. They still have some 120 sections. 130 is a rural highway speed only suitable for long distance travels. You won't find that anywhere near the GTA even if they were to trial it. On the German Autobahn, you might find...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

A red light camera would work very well along with some overhead electronic signage. People still run the red anyways when they realize there is no green phase for them. Also the amount of traffic blocking streetcars towards the priority corridor at Jarvis is also insane. With the detour onto...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

The speed limit would be staying put not because the road can't accommodate faster speed but the volume is too much to support it during most times of the day. 120 to 130 is possible on 69/400 north of Barrie where traffic is light but it's too fast for busy routes where some don't even drive at...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

We have yet to see Line 5 operate with simulated revenue service level, so we don't really know. This isn't about making one trip across the line but can the trains all stay in service the entire day without breaking the rails/overhead or blowing up the transformer.

Good thing they limited that to a few weekends. What if Lakeshore West GO line and Line2 are shutdown too while they do that.

You should be grateful they didn't patch it with asphalt

Perhaps we are slowly moving towards a Line 2 shutdown. OL and Line 5 along with all the downtown streetcar lines can fill in its shoes.

Only if we have stricter laws. They all should get their licenses revoked and forced to sell their vehicles for repeated offences. No penalty = keep doing it

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I hope so, these violators need to be prosecuted. Just saw a someone run a red in the worst fashion this afternoon. There is a right turn signal at Davenport/Avenue with a queue lane for west to north movement allowing protected priority for cyclist. Not only did this idiot turn right on that...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

There's nothing much the city can do if immigration keeps growing in the region. Since the government isn't restricting people coming to the GTA, finance stepped in to do the job. Eventually the lowest income figures out they can't live here and move to another city. Affordable housing isn't...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Every business person wants to make their bang in the buck, not do a one time contribution to society. They are waiting for the right time. Business persons are almost never lefties.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

I really don't think move the trucks onto the 407 would be sustainable. The government would have to subsidize the toll charges and 407ETR would be charging a pretty penny. They have every rights to say trucks are damaging their roadways and slowing down traffic causing them to lose revenue...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I don't know what the problem is. Do people want more taxplayer's money spent on wages to open up aesthetic cages under an overhead wire (and hopefully not electrocute themselves) so the streetcars can look pretty from a condo or for them to just get to work on what they need. The only reason...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Ford used a bully tactic which worked in his and our favour. Instead of getting the feds to agree on the funds first (which could take ages), he went on to announcing it with the hopes the feds will chip in. Then it'll make the feds look bad if they don't care. Of course these projects are all...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

If a car ended up in those water, they will be scrapped. I always predicted those streetcars to be write offs and it seem to be increasing true now.

We don't know how long is the hold. He stole the phone and could be playing dumb for hours. Cops have things to do and are pretty impatient when you don't comply. If the cops rushed the situation within 5 min, someone should get fired. If this took 15+ min and isn't getting resolved, it's a...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

And put the economic into deep recession? The feds will definitely step in if it gets serious enough to cripple the country. Half the population will likely lose their job without highways as it become prohibitively expensive to get their raw supplies. You'll see pricing on goods approach...
