"We actually designed this building to be intentionally soul sucking; it's very presence being a motivation for escape from monotony and inspiration for grand achievement. We are creating the leaders of tomorrow." - Gabirel Bodor probably

Interesting take. Like when you see an accident and you can't look away.

I dont think he argued that Kowloon density was the goal, nor did he argue that every single block needs to have additional density. What he argued, i think, is that the vast amount of land area in the Annex, is being hollowed out. If we had 1 500-storey tower and 1000 acres of farmland we...

That's City-owned for access to transit. There isn't "great density." There's some. And few stations are north-south interchanges. Three are, to be exact and thus one has less than them all.

Side core, sky lobby, or just touch what's there. It's not sacred. Lots of designated buildings, especially with older easement agreements without good specificity get augmented. But I meant more from a planning and context perspective. And in any case, I wouldn't propose it. I'd propose...

I hate this building but I also see no reason why Spadina and Bloor should be limited to 35 storeys to start so unclear why this has to be so short.

This is as close to a self storage facility as I can fathom without being an actual self storage facility. Tragic.

This is by far the worst project I have seen executed. I could not with best efforts design anything uglier.

Yeah - thanks! Arcadis and TF should be fined for such horrid designs. Boy oh boy this is going to be a block of crud. Add in the Kirkor Originate and it's a tripod of junk.

What is the tower just northwest? Looks about 40 storeys, south of Isabella and north of earl?
