A paper loss... is not so bad... unless.. when you bought that $100K house in 2008 (without a mortgage) and took out a home equity line of $120K based on the apprased value in early 2012... and spent that money putting a 20% down payment on an investment condo for $600,000... and then that house...

Does anyone ever take into consideration the large possibility of a special assessment to pay for major repairs and/or maintenance to a condo, when purchasing one of these "investment condos?" Not saying... it's a bad idea... but you could end up with several bad tenants do you want that kinda...

Given the address 501... Blue Jean Towers is totally more appropriate... and more likely to be remembered by non-resident visitors by it's address and name... and it could become the flagstore location for Levi... and it might make for a better unique square cut blue glass block design... Just...

The average cost of a 3-bedroom house in Chatham/Sarnia/Windsor/London is about $250,000. A little less in Windsor, a little more in London. The smaller towns in between around $200K. I don't think houses are priced out of reach for the average Canadian in that corner of Southern Ontario...
