    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

For some reason(s), it is much calmer now, Gare de Lyon was easy to drive to. I am not even mentioning some popular tourist areas, such as Montmartre where you hardly see any car and plenty of parking spots available... Maybe it was due to March break they had, but I think the main reason has to...

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Agreed. Or maybe only a small part of that original roof should have been spared? I hope some better lighting solution is considered for that historical portion. It is more suitable to host a Dark Age museum--it is gloomy, dark, and uninviting--rather than to be a modern train station pavilion...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I am talking from my own experience, and it is in 2001, 2010, 2013. You think I was lucky? I haven't had any experience driving in London (scary of driving "on the wrong side"), but, as a pedestrian, I felt it had a busier traffic than Paris.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Maybe or maybe not. As it was mentioned many times on this board, all major world-class cities have removed the tram lines from their city centres (I personally can attest to examples of London, Paris, and Moscow). They do build some LRTs now, but mostly outside of their cores. And, you know...

    Toronto Emerald Park Condos | 128.92m | 40s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

Indeed! The choice of cladding will be very important for this project, even though we shouldn't expect cladding for another few months.

    Toronto Emerald Park Condos | 128.92m | 40s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

I noticed it too; Emerald Park tries hard to make it up working on Saturdays. But HC site is usually pretty active on Saturdays.

That notch in the middle? Probably. The south tower is already higher than anything on that corner. It looks like it is as high (if not higher) as Nestle Building--quite a change from a see of parking lots only couple of years ago...

sunnyray, you did not address any of my other ideas and concentrated on something I admitted might not work or would be long-term solution (narrowing Sheppard). I like your idea about installing parking meters around Sheppard W, but, while it is very doable, it is not very efficient in terms of...

    Toronto Gibson Square Condominiums | 137.46m | 42s | Menkes | Rafael + Bigauskas

I thought the towers will be all-glass, but there is some pre-cast cladding:

South tower is almost finished--they poured 35th floor and are working on the mechanical floor now: The vertical column is being cladded with pre-cast: The office tower is being dressed too:

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Earlier, they mentioned that Moley will be done by the late January. I am not sure why it was more than a month behind the schedule (and they don't explain).

    Toronto/Chicago comparisons

Interesting. Maybe she lives in the suburbs? Then it might be true... But I agree with that 30 yr old observation, even 10 yr ago Toronto was more sleepy/quiet place than it is now. I remember visiting my wife back in 2000-01. She was articling at the time and she lived close to Bay and Edwards...

    Restaurant Tipping Etiquette

I usually tip 15% on top of the total bill, which works around 18%. Sometimes I tip a bit more or a bit less with so-so service, but I have never been in situation where I wouldn't tip at all (with exception of some all-tip-in service in some European countries). Can you please share your...

    Toronto 2024 Olympic Bid (Dead)

I remember watching a documentary on CBC (a couple of years ago) dedicated to the cost of olympic games. They cited Calgary-88 winter games as being on time and budget and contrasted it with Montreal-76 summer games, which were neither on time nor on budget...

    Toronto Karma Condos | 165.8m | 50s | Lifetime | a—A

I think it will be moved away from the construction site temporarily, and then moved back but to the left site of the Karma.

They are on 32nd floor. So, three more to go plus mechanical.

Sunnyray, you are assuming too much. I never spoke at WLHA, I prefer to listen.. and i don't live at the address you suggested. You are not listening what i say, only yourself... with attitudes like yours Lansing will be forever car-dependent. Maybe it is what you want, so you can show up your...
