    Toronto Emerald Park Condos | 128.92m | 40s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

I hope they do deliver on that nice colour... not like they did with Crystal Blu.

An offical confirmation that it will be Metro and not T&T store: I am not sure what they mean by a unique design, we'll see... They also mentioned that they will announce more confirmed retailers in the next few weeks. LCBO I guess?

I meant on Yonge & Sheppard, not in NYCC. Anyway, it will be a summer of fun to watch all these towers piercing the unifrom NYCC skyline :)

    Rob Ford's Toronto

You are just repeating a standard Tim Hudak &C propaganda that twists and distorts GEA program. For starters, your $2bln dollars are taken out of context--the actual quoted amount was $1bln, and it was quoted by C.D. Howe Institute, who calculated that Ontario electricity customers subsidized...

It does; it is now the tallest building on Yonge-Sheppard. And it soon to be dethroned by two other towers!

I see, thanks for clarification. This is one of those cases when 11 floors on top of the 1 floor of lobby does mean that the total count is 11+1 rather than 11...

Tridelwebmaster, why the transfer is on the 12th floor; I recall that the office part suppose to be 11 storey high?

Thanks for updates, drum118. Seems like you covered the entire NYCC :) Did you take a shot of the World on Yonge? From some low elevation points in North York, it looks like a 50+ storey tower...

I just came across an article about new subway cars that Bombardier will be making for the Moscow subway. My impression is that with only a few touches, our own cars would look way more appealing from outside. I am puzzled why TTC picked such a conservative (external) design...

    New Transit Funding Sources

That is an interesting point of view--how to convince general public that the new revenue generation tools (aka new taxes) must be introduced asap. What did California politicians do to convince their constituents? How did they do it? They needed super-majority (66.7%) to pass their new taxes...

Incorrect. CN Tower was the tallest structure in the world for quite a while, so it might not be as recognized as Eiffel tower, it is definitely more known than Space Needle. When I was coming to Toronto in 1992, I knew about CN tower, but had no idea what Space Needle was.

The south tower is topping up; they are working on mechanical floor now: The tower is visible from almost everywhere in North York. Here is a view from north, west, and south:

    Toronto Gibson Square Condominiums | 137.46m | 42s | Menkes | Rafael + Bigauskas

From today, March 29/2013: Considering that the height will almost double, the towers should look slim and tall. No idea about retail, sorry.
