Toronto Toronto Island Park Master Plan | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

I know its a long shot at best but I think there are some creative designs of bridges in Europe and Asia that have solved similar issues. Traffic entrances into bays have been directed in certain ways the eastern gap with the larger ships that probably does not seem possible but the western one...

    Toronto Ontario Place | ?m | ?s | Infrastructure ON

Whatever it is I hope Mr.Ford and Torry dont screw it up, this is a huge and extremley important piece of property on the waterfront and something spectacular for all of Toronto/Ontario/Tourists need to be able to enjoy. Keeping the pods and the overal strutures is a good idea I think and adding...

    Mississauga Lakeview Village | ?m | ?s | Argo Developments | Sasaki

In that City-tv report they mention loosing the canal. That is a huge loss to the design of the development, now this makes it almost like most of the other designs, a little more bland now then the original design. Why is city council allowing this, the canal adds character and makes it a...

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

This is another reason to close down the airport. 3 couriers now have not made money there, come on people enough is enough. Then the question would be what to turn it into after the airport is done.

    Toronto East Harbour | 214.2m | 65s | Cadillac Fairview | Adamson

Its unfortunate that the DVP runs right along that site, it would have been nice to have something along the lines of Chicago with the river being a focal point. Can't have everything I guess. I hope they are able to keep something from the soap factory, I believe it's always down the road that...

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

I am glad the airline is returning to operation, because I think it is important for the GTA to have its own airline based here, increasing oppportunities etc. But I had hoped it would no longer operate out of Billy Bishop. Oh well can't have everything I guess.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Does anyone know about this section is it going to be a bridge or just a roadway thru the Don Greenway section. I did not see anything mentioned about it on any of the videos and the timeline construction video.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Wow that is great info, thx for that on the bridges. It's remarkable how much work is involved, as excited I am to have this completed it's quite a complex job.

This is what I was looking at, it says Cherry st. The picture on the left.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I just looked at the previous days threads and there is a picture of a concrete base and it's being used for bridge offloading, curious as to why this is required since the 2 concrete ends where the bridge will sit are complete from what I can tell. And if it's just an offloading concrete base...

Toronto Toronto Island Park Master Plan | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

Toronto should just build a bridge by the airport for people to access the islands period. That is the shortest distance to cross and if there are any ships larger, then they have go to the other side to enter, that is where the ship channel is anyways. Wether we want light rail on there or not...

    Toronto 75 on The Esplanade | 99.97m | 29s | Harhay | a—A

Any idea why the Esplanade was never turned into more interlocking bricks/stones on the ground, that would have been real nice for that neighbourhood and would've truly made it old town along with St.Lawrence market and then off to the distillery district.

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Is this tower like 60 stories tall when completed?

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

The precinct plan looks nice, I just hope that Centre st. & Old Cherry are done properly, make them nice areas for walking with shops, cafes etc. Toronto desperatley needs something like that. I keep hearing all the time on how people love going to Montreal and over and over they talk about the...

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

Could this be the opportunity that people who are opponents to the airport are hoping for. I have said it before I believe with the beautiful Islands they should be used for fun and enjoyment for all and to remove that airport and make something spectacular there would be unbeleivable and a...

Toronto Toronto Island Park Master Plan | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

That's trully unfortunate because I feel there is a disconect between the downtown and the Islands when I go there in the summer. That eastern channel would not be ideal but better than anything especially when they complete the portlands construction. I thought of maybe something like this pic...

Toronto Toronto Island Park Master Plan | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

Being from out of town and the amount of times we have visited the Toronto Islands I believe the most important thing needed is some kind of bridge link, i dont know what but something because waiting for that ferry in the summer is difficult and can imagine what it must be like in the winter...

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Well I guess im refering to the historic buildings. A good example are the condos that have been built around the distillery district, I am shocked that they did not try and design and use materials that would match the district. Same goes for the Berczy Park area with the Victorian architecture...

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

So true!! And to add to that the surrounding condos don't even reflect the neighbourhood, that is also the sad part. Why is Toronto so blind to the architectural end of the design to match the area, lost a great opportunity to add to the current old designs to develop it kind of like old...
