    CityPlace: St. Jamestown in waiting?

I agree that a Front Street extension would help solve a BIT of the problem. It would also help if Navy Wharf was cut off from Blue Jays Way. There are too many cars travelling down small side streets to get onto the Gardiner. I dont think those roads were ever designed to take on so much...

wow, proposed 75 storey building. Imagine that!

    It's very bombed-out ghetto chic.

Right.... forgot about the ribbon building.

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

IF they anticipated building on that site, extra parking levels could have been dug out on the Neo/Montage lot for residents to park in, with an enclosed bridge over the tracks leading to the new tower. Still, that would have been an extra cost, and "out of the norm". By removing some of the...

Windermere by The Lake (Cresford, 28s + towns, pellow + associates)

My only beef with this development is that the tower seems very out of place. If there were 2 more towers close-by, slightly shorter in height, it would have looked better.

    Simcoe St. Underpass & Extension

Where else in downtown can another link be made? Trinity street in the Distillery District could be tunneled under the tracks to connect to the East Bayfront. Is there anywhere else we can add more north/south connections under the tracks? My wish is that they made them more attractive and...

No, I didnt mean that trees wouldnt have the space for roots.... I said that Yonge shouldnt have trees because to me, Yonge is all about the good old urban concrete jungle. I dont want to see plant life when I walk up or down Yonge. I want to see the road, the buildings and the people. There...

Doesnt this plot of land fall under the King-Spadina development area? Wasnt that a much-loved project pushed out by Barbara Hall when she was Mayor, to designate all land in the area as an "anything goes" zone? So basically, anything goes, as long as it meets height and density requirements...

Wider sidewalks yes, trees - NO. I would hate to see trees along Yonge Street. This is one part of the city that I feel should remain tree-less.

    Toronto Telus House - 25 York Street | 136.24m | 30s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

CN needs to sell off the land under several of those tracks that are never used. How many of the lines actually see trains pass along them? There are many opportunities throughout downtown for tracks to give way to development. This location could see half of the tracks gone, the space...

I mostly agree with the sentiment that it is a loss to see the Diesel Playhouse go. It is fairly new, but an addition that I quite enjoyed. The shows in this space seem to have gone quite well. The condo proposal seems to go back to 2003, long before Diesel established itself there. I...

    Simcoe St. Underpass & Extension

Lets hope not. Another route from the core to the Gardiner is needed. Right now Blue Jays Way/Navy Wharf Court/Bremner Blvd/Spadina is a nightmare of cars lining up to get onto the Gardiner. If Simcoe opens up, some of that traffic will head down Simcoe to Lakeshore and up onto the Gardiner.

Tiny Tom is ALL OVER the CNE. back to the sidewalks - I am sure they will be replaced in time. Last night more sidewalks were being cut up just south of Gerrard. I wonder if this has to do with utility upgrades to the area now that TLS is nearing completion. The city may have had to bury...

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

It will definitly age much better than beige concrete slabs. It's a shame there wont be a tower on the south west corner of Front and Spadina. I think it would have "sealed off" the rail tracks a little nicer in that area. Perhaps in the future.... I would like to see Front St west of...

    Toronto Bisha Hotel and Residences | 146.91m | 44s | Lifetime | Wallman Architects

This area is going to see so much development in the next few years. So many applications in for buildings south of Queen, north of Front, between Spadina and University.

I believe it includes the building to the east of Gretskys restaurant as well. Like BobBob said, it is up to the landowner to decide what he/she wants to do with their property. If the owner of the parking lot wants to reamain a parking lot owner, then a building wont be built there. If the...

    Toronto Cinema Tower | 142.64m | 43s | Daniels | Kirkor Architects

It could possibly be at the OMB. Apparently the city approved it (from what I understand), so it would have to be some other group objecting if it is in fact delayed due to an OMB appeal. I think that with the Bell Lightbox going in next door, sales would be good for this building. If you...

    Toronto 22 Condominiums | ?m | 23s | Lanterra | architectsAlliance

Many condos are still undergoing their finishing touches more than 2 months later. It can take up to a year. Just wait. Even if the balconies arent painted on their undersides, it will be joining some company - there are several new condo developments with the same exposed concrete. I...

    Canadian Dollar

Isnt it the goal of a company to make money? We arent living in a communist state here. Corporations, even small businesses, are in it to make money. They arent gouging customers out of more and more when their prices remain the same relative to consumers income. So what, these companies...
