Colour Me Impressed: the New "old" Tile at St. Andrew Station

A member here from another forum mentioned that the TTC installed a new version of the Panels in March because the old ones were buckling too much. The new ones are better, but still buckle, so they're working on another version.

Not sure how the skirt would do anything to protect someone... actually I would think it would do more bad, what if it pushed someone along the track? as opposed to the train just going over you like that woman who feel at spadina station and 3 cars went over her, but she suffered no injuries...

    TTC: Stations that Need Improvements

Saw another improvement going of this week. I noticed some major construction at Bathurst. The Stairs that lead to street level inside the station were closed, and the tiles were removed, right now they're sanding them. Anyone have any information on this? Maybe they're laying new tiles...

Thanks for the Photo ando. It looks like the right length too mee, I suppose the wide open doors, and less windows make it look shorter.

I gather from the pictures posted on page 72, which you said "dang they look nice" that they are being tested. As the original photographer on cptdb said those two pictures were taken at the kingston facility.

    TTC: Stations that Need Improvements

Witnessed an [B]abomination[/B ]today, looks like the sign painting on Bloor Station reached Yonge Station, I noticed wet paint signs, but the sand blasted signs were painted. I looked up and noticed they actually painted the signs on the strapline, to my horror they had done a horrible job...

    TTC: Stations that Need Improvements

Not sure how old it is, but It was replace a week ago, theres a new almost identical one you can see the difference because the white lettering is actually white and not a stanky yellowish colour. Maybe you were at Sherbourne? Or at a staion with ceiling slats removed.

    TTC: Stations that Need Improvements

I noticed today Wet paint signs at Bloor Station, they painted the benches and the signs that say BLOOR on the metal columns teal. Small improvement, but once again better than nothing. I've also noticed new signs going up at Bloor, and some age-ridden signs replaced, such as the one at pape...

I think the Sheppard Subway T1's already do this, they have a little digital screen with re LED numbers, as the train enters the station the number start coutnting down until the train stops and reashes 17, 18 or nineteen, depending on where they stop. These are on the black boxes mentioned...

Hmm I would think the reason for changing them is because the TR's a bit longer... or they need to be placed somewhere else because the TR's are different.

Thanks for the details agram. Um where exactly in the yard is the complex? some people say you can can see it when going by Wilson yard... I've always wanted to go on a tour of Wilson Yard, I guess it's too busy for tours like greenwood does... It would be awesome to see the new complex.

I was referring to you asking about them, I mean people already know you're inerested in them, i'm sure they would've been posted without you having to ask everytime. I'm just saying, change the topic, and maybe talk about other things too. Although I apologize, because I know your just as...

The new trains are were bought to replace the aging H-series cars, the H4's being the first one's out. I'm sure there are other reasons for not overhauling the H-series, but ours age faster because they are exposed to the elements in outdoor yards. Plus New york is also constantly buying new...

Agram: Thanks for the update! It's cool that they took over the door company, now the have better control over the doors, that's excellent news. Oh can I ask you a question? whats your favourite train model the TTC owns? I really enjoy the H4, and H5's, i'd love to see a H1 upclose... have you...
