The 1889 Romanesque-revival heritage facade on York was actually disassembled and rebuilt in the current location in the mid-1980's. Another view of the corner from 1972:

All good except the awkward top with its 1980's vibe evoking Petro-Canada Centre Calgary, Madison Centre, 5650 Yonge. Unfortunate when sun/shadow studies result in such compromised architecture.
