[MODERATOR's NOTE: A couple of posts of a personal nature have been removed.] A discussion forum is made richer with contributions from those ACTUALLY impacted by a developer's attempt to make money, than populated solely by those who don't even live in the neighbourhood. Again, this is...

Nothing in this proposal has been approved by planning. This is a developer asking if they can CHANGE the zoning (which the planners implemented). Should the developer be the only voice allowed to communicate with the planners? Or should the public get a chance to provide an alternate...

Glad to hear it. So in your opinion, Developers should be able to do ANYTHING they want, regardless of any type of impact to anybody else in the city. Then why even bother with a city plan? Or planners? Or zoning? Heck, you could even get rid of urbantoronto, since there would be no...

Maybe not, but a revision because it casts my entire building in darkness is the basis of sun/shade studies. We've had people with light meters taking readings, to assess the impact of various options. This option as-is is probably the worst possible impact on our access to light.

Thank you. This is helpful information.

I'm being exactly as selfish as ANY other person with an opinion on the project. And hardly a NIMBY.... I've known there would be a project here since last July https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2018/cc/comm/communicationfile-86984.pdf and was patiently waiting to see what was proposed...

Also, for what it's worth, I wasn't even asking how to SQUASH the development - I understand density & the fact that I live within a 10 minute walk of 4 subway stations - I just would like to propose a revision, and was asking how does one DO that.

Thank you for a reasonable response. I'm astonished at the callousness of TheSix & Raptor. Just real mean people. My realtor had done a lot of analysis around heritage buildings, the 5 year plan, the secondary plan....it's not as though we walked-in and said we'll take it. And I...

    Toronto 95 St Joseph | 134.7m | 40s | Daniels | Core Architects

Excuse me? Keep your own concerns to yourself. When I moved in, my realtor confirmed there were no likely builds, and a robust search of the UToronto 5 year plan, and the city's plan, and the current zoning all confirmed there was nothing planned. Even the original letter from the...

Question: does anybody know what the best approach would be, to voice opposition to the current plans? I live in the building directly south of this footprint, on a higher floor, looking directly over this project. The towers as proposed would reduce my 'view' (and privacy) by about 90%...

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Yes. I had the south-facing sub-penthouse, and now moved to the North-facing penthouse. But I can still watch Aura from the balcony :)

Just a couple of quick snaps on the day before I lose this condo... I sold my sub-penthouse, and moved to the PH but with a north-west view. :( This is Aura as of 6:45 p.m. on May 13th, 2013..... just finishing the 10th floor above the western change: and Stephen

You may be (inadvertent typo/pun notwithstanding) correct.

    Future Toronto 3d model

Gotta say...I'm a fan of all of it...except the casino towers. Why? Because the thing which makes the Toronto skyline is the CN Tower...and the thing that makes the CN Tower, is that it's much taller than anything within a few blocks. The casino towers look like they'll basically obscure the...

There's also a correlation between Price, and "the masses". The only way your dystopian future comes to pass, is if every owner sells at a loss.

    Toronto TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 170.98m | 52s | Lanterra | a—A

I'm sorry. This building is here now (and I bought resale, not new). I didn't even know about my building pre-build, I've been a 'house' guy. But within a 4 block radius of where I am, there are proposed (or underway): 78 stories at Aura, 52 48 stories at 501 45 stories at Five Whatever...
