Or Stephen Harper in a leather harness? Oh, it happened on the cover of Xtra.. haha.

I'll agree about the angry looking character based one in the middle - but the other two aren't bad. Frankly, they remind me of the ones from Roncesvalles which have stood the test of time quite nicely.

I think the problem with the conversation here (or rather the point brought up by one of the members here) is that "diversity" is reduced to race or visible minority status. Diversity is about more than this - it includes matters of culture, gender and sexual identity, spirituality/religion...

    Cabbagetown

It's going in the old Margarita's spot, near what is now Public Mobile.

I live in the Village and are we talking about different places? It's a diverse place.

One of the servers at House told me that the new owners have stopped work until they get a tenant, at which time they will finish the interior for the tenant to their liking and/or have the tenant finish it. Crazy.

I saw these on Friday night and they are quite cute! They frame the street really nicely.

I'm hoping they end up looking nice! Wonder if any consideration was given to closing portions of Church Street for the summer? (...this coming from a driver that relies on access to Church Street to get to work)

I'm still waiting for a good restaurant, a frozen yogurt place (which Menchie's on Yonge probably killed the viability of) and Smoke's to open up.

    Church-Wellesley Village

I live nearby - honestly, based on aesthetics alone, the place is a total dump. The exterior paint job, half painted-over mural and "paste on" signs should have been an indication of the final product, which likes like it made it 70% of the way and never to completion. There was no one inside on...

    Church-Wellesley Village

Let's not be SO negative.. but yes the odds are stacked against it. I live around the corner, looked inside one day when they were working on the interior and it is far, far, far from being completed in terms of interior renovations. Not to mention the awful paint job over the mural and sides...

    Toronto Visto Condominiums | 29.6m | 8s | Mizen Holdings | AJT Architects

Only thing I can think of is the building right at Keele & Wilson and eventually, the urban townhouses in Downsview Park.

I actually think this will look really nice and considering the neighbourhood (no hate, I grew up near Keele & Wilson), this is a good thing!

I used to just drive out of Radio City onto Wood, Wood to Church, Church to Carlton so I could turn left at a light.

I don't think they'd get the height they are desiring, but they will definitely get something. Let's hope this can withstand the substantial slow down in the market.

Yes - lived at Radio City and am renting out my place. Anyways - the laneway is private property and was closed on a temporary basis. I believe the permanent closure is not yet final.

The Star: Centennial College wants to restore Guild Inn's glory

This has gone through so many incarnations! Given how unique the site is ... it would be great if at (the very least) some sort of hall or wedding venue company snatched up an operating lease or something. It'd be a great spot for weddings!

I am not surprised that Regal has shut down, I haven't seen anyone in there ever. As for Garage - they did not look open but their delivery trucks with their emergency flashers make it a really difficult commute home for me on a regular basis.
