Does anyone have a definitive answer how long the developer of M5V can keep extending the completion date?

From a purchase date in 2007 to a completion date FOUR years later, I would expect finishes akin to the Sistine Chapel.....

Does anyone happen to know the reason why the completion date has been extended to 2011? I thought it had just been extended to November 2010--another delay is very discouraging.

Check out the new issue of TORONTO LIFE Real Estate Guide Page 110. It gives the completion date for M5V as 2011 !!!

Soil issues would have been addressed before a building permit was issued...you would think they would want to accomplish as much as possible while the good weather is here... Frustrating.....

Bummer......well hopefully in the two years until completion there will be some interest in another closer location that is within walking distance (with groceries....)

Not to change the subject--but does anyone know what and where the big box type grocery stores are in this neighbourhood?? Just wondering how far my trek will be when it is finished........

Well said!! And coming from a condo-owner in South Florida--even if the condo is worth NO more than what we paid 3 years down the road--it is still HEAVEN! How fortunate we are to live in these wonderful places! Just enjoy and be grateful!

Oh don't worry too much--that's part of "city living" in a vibrant area--the compromises are well worth it! My unit at M5V is the size of my walk-in closet in my old home out of Toronto--but I am SO excited! You will LOVE your new condo!

I completely agree! I am a 54 yr. old female spending only 6 months in Toronto /6 months Florida. I purchased at M5V because of the vibrant neighbourhood, cultural amenities--sort of a cross between---Yorkville without the elitism and Queen W. without the seediness---I dunno, perfect for me.

Undoubtedly a problem of some sort--it just would be refreshing if a developer( TAZ) would keep the buyers apprised of what is going on with delays etc.--some people are planning on these so called "completion dates"

Are you serious??!! Isn't it fenced off?? Do you mean a real parking lot or are people just sneaking in? Does anyone know what the official story (excuse) is?

Right--forgot about the extra units......I suppose with the April groundbreaking and larger building the completion date will probably be delayed beyond the original proposed Nov/09--but difficult to say --depends on weather and other variables ???

I was told in January by one of their sales reps that it was 70% sold.:confused:
