    Toronto The Bread Company | 67.8m | 20s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Looks nice! I know Brad Lamb is not the greatest person, but he does build some nice low/medium-rise condo buildings.

Toronto Woodbine Racetrack Ancillary Facilities Building | 14.5m | 2s | Woodbine Ent | DIALOG

Yes, you need a wow factor to draw people, and the architecture so far is very much not-wow.

Toronto Woodbine Racetrack Ancillary Facilities Building | 14.5m | 2s | Woodbine Ent | DIALOG

All of the east side of Highway 27 on either side of Rexdale Blvd are strip malls, and there is Woodbine Mall north of this development. This is not an area that is starved for retail space. A walk from the non-existent GO Train station for Woodbine (the one coming in 2030) to the casino would...

Toronto Woodbine Racetrack Ancillary Facilities Building | 14.5m | 2s | Woodbine Ent | DIALOG

I'm just mystified by this development. Who will shop at this retail? There's a lot of retail space at Woodbine Mall and along Highway 27, and I can't see how this space would be more appealing to people.

Sorry, is this a miniscule skating rink???

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

I'm glad the roads are being uploaded. They are such a huge burden on the City's budget. I do wonder about the capital rebuild - I hope they keep it at the hybrid option the city went with a few years ago. If they open up the design again and start throwing around more ideas - oh god no. On...

The title of this project always makes me snicker - "Academic Wood"

    Toronto Ontario Line: Exhibition Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Cool! Thanks for the info. This "South Liberty" street has been a wish-list item for years - but with the new station it seems like a necessity. Otherwise, it's jamming all the new traffic down Atlantic and Jefferson. I wonder if the province will pay for it, or if it will be pushed off to the...

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I'm assuming it will be less like Cityplace and Liberty Village and more like East Bayfront and the West Donlands because those are similar Waterfront Toronto projects. So, a more thoughtful public realm, but the same issue with hit-or-miss condo developments.

    Toronto Ontario Line: Exhibition Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Great photos! Do we know if the TTC has plans to eventually route the Ossington and Dufferin buses to connect with this station?

    Toronto 888 Dupont | 61.7m | 18s | TAS | SA

Yeah, artists deserve to live in safe buildings with proper heating, plumbing, etc! When people like to romanticize places like this, they should also remember the horror of stuff like the Ghost Ship warehouse fire: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Ship_warehouse_fire

    Toronto 522 University | 232.92m | 62s | Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc | WZMH

Ooookay. So it's like the original building + a new build that is sort of smushed against it?

    Toronto 888 Dupont | 61.7m | 18s | TAS | SA

As someone who spent a fair bit of time in this building, I think its demise was inevitable. It wasn't safe, it was horrible to be in during the summer/winter, going to the washroom was a trip, it was filled with vermin, etc. Does Toronto need more affordable places to live? Yes. Does Toronto...

I'm fine with Frankenbuildings - we should be doing more creative reuse/additions instead of clean slate buildings - but why oh why do they need to add the curtainwall to one part of the old building? It's like a compulsion. "We must ruin the original building in *some* way!"

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

I'm sure Yorkdale does so much more business than Yorkville. It's much more accessible to suburban wealth. And it's not a neighbourhood - it's a mall. Yorkville is the swankiest neighbourhood in Toronto. The problems that zang has with the area are exactly why I have a soft spot for Yorkville...

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Yorkville is pretty swanky - I challenge anyone here to walk confidently into the Prada store. I challenge anyone on this forum to *touch* anything in the Prada store. It's mildly terrifying. Cumberland Terrace is its own special animal: a dying mall. But it fulfills its purpose. I always enjoy...
