    Toronto U of T: Landscape of Landmark Quality | ?m | 1s | U of T | MVVA

I also heard that classes don't officially start until Friday, so they have basically another week to get stuff in order.

This looks great! The overall design is a bit of a pomo mess, but the etched glass is slick. God forbid any of the panels gets damaged or broken!!

    Toronto 1304 King Street West | 78.31m | 21s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

Apparently it was one of the first "modern" supermarkets. From Adam Wynne's history: "1304-1318 King Street West is also notable for being one of the very first purpose-built-and-designed self-serve (modern) grocery stores in Toronto through the design commissions for Dominion Stores Ltd...

Adam Wynne has created this history of the building currently there: https://acotoronto.ca/building.php?ID=19022&fbclid=IwAR3lZ25dw2Pq8X5HmfKM8_8vBDHmrJmM_gfmiDGcUsAwy5AgoXSezhuxI50 Lots of great tidbits in there!

I had the same problem. The only washroom I could find was in the office tower above the coffee shop. (Very nice, but hard to find!)

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

First off - I'm generally positive toward this development, and I'm looking forward to its completion. But these Pomo Potemkin Villages/Disney Main Street Type Buildings - where it's all one big building but it's made to look like an organic outcropping of smaller buildings in different...

Great pics, everyone! Very unrelated: I went to the Well a few weeks ago, and I decided to use one of the elevators. And well, there was a gentleman sitting in the elevator. He was sitting on a lawn chair in the elevator, and he had his phone connected to the elevator. I guess he was charging...

Yes, and I'm generally on their side when it comes to that. But they are also getting mad about all sorts of nonsense things. One person went on a rant about how this is replacing the library ... which it's not. Sadly, no one was mourning the imminent passing of the Sand Trap, Toronto's premier...

I guess it's a Sign O' the Times - the sign specifically shows a croc. Those damn shoes!

I didn't make it to the online session yesterday, but some people on FB's Parkdale Community Updates report that the developer is KingSett, and this rendering was shown. (Note: the urban conversations on FB are like a demented version of UT.)

I can't remember how much the pitchers were at Peel Pub, but they were definitely under $10. They used to get accused of "recycling" beer (not sure how that would work).

Surprised that the rooftop terrace was quiet! The last time I was there, it was JAMMED.

Toronto Cherry House at Canary Landing | 50.32m | 13s | Dream | COBE Architects

Great pics! Unrelated: isn't is crazy how many white cars there are nowadays? When we say "I wish developers would use colours other than black, white and grey," I think we forget that most people are buying cars that are either white, black or grey.

    UrbanToronto is Celebrating 20 Years

Yeah, I wonder what happened to Urban Shocker. I had a few discussions with them back in the day!

    Toronto Portland Commons | 71.7m | 15s | Carttera | Sweeny &Co

Come on, city! It's giving density.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

There's some panels missing on the far end of the platforms already - I'm not sure if this is related to construction. I would be down with the renaming of Dundas West to Roncesvalles. A Toronto subway station named after a Napoleonic battle? Sure, why not!
