    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I call that rush hour... 3 hours out of 24... but left lane for streetcars would solve the last one

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Nobody was arguing for King Street pre-pilot. You can achieve the gains minus the costs.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I think you hit it on the head though... this is like an intellectual exercise for a lot people. For anyone that lives in and around King, they will tell you it's been emptied out. You will see businesses start to close at some point in the not too distant future. That's too high a price to pay...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I like A because it reaches the goal with minimum disruption. I'm sorry but people are more than capable of walking ten feet to board the streetcar. I also think economically it makes sense for people to drive straight down King... it lets people window shop for restaurants and bars maybe they...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Whether or not you can drive the distance or not, we are still down to one lane.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I'm frustrated by the #KingStreetPilot. Can someone remind me why we didn't just do streetcar right of way in the left lane and cars in the right? Let them drive the length of King if they want. All that will do is slow down car traffic. Much more efficient. All these forced right turns are...

    CityFund... community fundraising platform

Yeah... there's issues with perks and donations. IndieGoGo and KickStarter won't give you a tax receipt which is why it's not relevant there. You would only get a tax receipt for the amount less the value of the perk. Buying dinner with the Mayor might not be viewed very well by the ethics...

    CityFund... community fundraising platform

I will have to look into the history. I don't know much about that. I had thought a lot of the public parks and things came from land donations but I assume there must be a lot of financial investments too. There are some sites like Citizinvestor, Patronicity, Spacehive that are doing...

    CityFund... community fundraising platform

Looking to get some opinions on an idea I've been working on. CityFund would be an online donation tool to facilitate giving to municipalities, starting here in Toronto. Canada Revenue allows tax receipts to be issued for gifts made to municipalities, so in theory, you can make a donation to a...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I will look for that. I live a half block north of King. They must be the worst signs known to man... The ones on Bay generally work I would say. I'm very curious to see how this will work. I guess we will all stay tuned.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

That is news to me that you can't drive down the left lane in rush hour... you sure about that? It's not posted anywhere as far as I can see. I've been doing it my whole life. And I was suggesting left turn lanes like on St. Clair. I remember reading the report but can't remember why they...

    Toronto Rail Deck District | 227.23m | 70s | Craft Dev Corp | Sweeny &Co

Problem is its barely big enough without a development in there... to me there's no point if you throw another dozen buidings in there. Will be an overpopulated hell.

The city planner at the last town hall said there's a possibility down the road it could be extended to Strachan I believe. But they are spending a lot of coin on a bridge right now over there so it was probably not included so they didn't look wasteful

Funny no one's reporting on this... Anyone else buy here? Last time I was by they were pouring the foundation... that was about a week ago. They are about 18 months behind at this point.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I got the flyer for the King Street Pilot in the mail yesterday. When you read about in the Star it sounds ok. When you see the visual representation of what that actually means, it's complete craziness. This solution's going to make all your side streets off King... Portland, Peter, John...

We have two car elevators in my building... 25 Oxley. I only wish the passenger elevators were half as reliable as the car ones, which almost never go down. Ours take us down to our level and we drive out into our spots... not like this where the system takes over once you drive into the...

I don't think this is correct. I attended the meeting and although she pointed out that the space is privately-owned, I don't recall anyone ever confirming that the private developers who submitted the proposal actually own anything. I'm not saying they don't I just didn't hear anyone say they did.
