    Transit City Plan

OMG, because the biggest issue and challenge facing the GTA & Toronto is traffic and congestion, and it gets worse every year.. and his solution is to take the focus off it? Brilliant! And why is Karen Stinz sitting on her thumbs while Ford (without council's backing) is taking funds away from...

    Transit City Plan

DIdn't the SELRT have wider space stops at first, until all the open houses and input from the locals to make it have closer stops like the current bus? With all the open houses for input, how is this being shoved down everyone's throat? They should take china's approach and just say "F you"...

    Transit City Plan

Hmm. Its not about left, or right, its about proper transit for all citizens. Something you don't get because you just don't listen or learn. This is why you will never be anymore than what your limited self has displayed with your really poor poor posts. I enjoy the factual well thought out...

Nice, a stubborn tantrum is a good solution. And the baby goes out with the bath water.

    Transit City Plan

You can use your lifetime to get smarter, then. Your ignorance borders on being offensive. But hey, I'm outta here in less than a month, so you can go down with this sinking ship.

    Transit City Plan

Not in your lifetime for new plans, and in no way is this infinitely better than the current plans. And re: Miller as a failuer? He now has the honour to move onto consulting for the Global Cities Committee thing based on his performance, so.. once again, you completely show your ignorance and...

    Transit City Plan

As has been pointed out many times before, the prior start of the Eglinton line was not the same as what we have today. And your understanding of the solutions (which by no means are backed from any true planning experience/pov) are not realistic and cost effictive... Asterix has clearly defined...

    Transit City Plan

Yep. There will be no new transit in Toronto.

Despite what Ford says The Streetcar in Toronto is here to stay.

Clearly, the assumption still stands; all indications are the Eglinton line is still moving ahead as currently planned and funded, TBM's on the way. Not even Ford has come out and said otherwise, not that if he did it would pass council, not that if it did, it would pass Province/Metrolinx, not...

Despite what Ford says The Streetcar in Toronto is here to stay.

So then we are closer now, then we've ever been to having an Elginton subway rapid transti line.

Despite what Ford says The Streetcar in Toronto is here to stay.

RE: Subways; That was due to Gov clawing back funding to save money. This is switching gears mid stream that could add higher costs through more design and penalities for cancelling current contracts and starting over... Not really the same scenario.

    Toronto Ripley's Aquarium of Canada | 13.11m | 2s | Ripley Entertainment | B+H

The majority of these trips would have to be done by car, (even the Burlington GO stations are too far north of the lake, so then you're relying on the Bus and the limited service) and that would eliminate the 'easy access' for everyone. Having it downtown TO allows greater access by servicing...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Well.. by 2 km (for Montreal).. however, not after the extension to VCC is done. But I do agree with your points.

Despite what Ford says The Streetcar in Toronto is here to stay.

Lets see it get passed council first.. that's IF Rob even bothers to push this forward; he'll look at it, realize that the money already spent would be a waste and go to nothing, and then leave it be. If its going to cost tax payers "an arm and a leg" as he says.. it won't happen. Although, I'm...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

A very realistic map in terms of actually materializing. I like it because of that...Hopefully, the governing bodies use good sense to keep current TC approved & funded plans underway and begin focusing on the DRL as the next big ticket item. We desperately need this rapid transit. Nice job.

    Toronto 2020 Olympic Bid

Agreed, comparing the Olympics to the G20 incident in that respect (security, vandalization and riot concerns) is not accurate at all...
