Just walked by today and you can see the curved edges of the floors on the west side. Looks great!

I totally agree with the last few comments. Can anyone here name a single proposal in Canada or even the US that is as interesting as this one? I just got back from a trip to Rome, and after seeing 2000 year old buildings, the value of a 100 year old cubic warehouse seems ridiculous to me.

Sam's Sign and the Yonge Street Heritage Zeitgeist

Agreed, Yonge isn't a prime spot for cool indie shops like say Queen west. There's mostly generic overpriced gift shops, and it is DEAD on weekend evenings. Any tourist on Yonge on a saturday night will get the impression that Toronto has NOTHING to offer. Hopefully the new residents in these...

Agreed. The european system of mindless preservation of everything makes living in the city very elitist and less functional than here IMO. Hence why I immigrated.

Yes, the previous fenced-off mechanical garbage was a disgrace! Thumbs up!

The eastside shot looks like you're not even downtown! TEAR DOWN EVERYTHING AND BUILD SOME SKYSCRAPERS (only slightly joking)

    Toronto 2 Queen West | 34.44m | 7s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

In terms of how busy the streets are, Toronto is nowhere near where capacity. All it needs is 10x more subway lines!

    Toronto Parade at Concord CityPlace | 127.4m | 44s | Concord Adex | P + S / IBI

When I was living in Cityplace pretty much everyone there wished they had a strip of bars and restaurants at their doorstep. Those windows are VERY soundproof. Most of the residents just probably have no clue that this "dialogue" is going on

This is awesome just like everything else going on in the city!

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

ALSO fares need to be divided in HALF in order to compare to any other pedestrian friendly city the size of Toronto. Oh and mobile phone service would also bring major business. Every european city has had it in their subways for over 10 years now.
