    City-TV & OMNI-TV's H.Q. (formerly Torch, Quadrangle)

It should be noted that's it's not just the all news channel but also all other Rogers broadcast properties except OMNI. So G4, Bio, CITY TV are also up for renewal. At that time they are hoping to change the license of CITY TV so we are officially a local station. (In other words, so we're...

    Shy Real Estate Agents

I remember e-mailing a few agents based on their listings to get more info about the property. I would say only 10% of the time did they reply. This was back in October.

It is still possible to buy a NEW 1 bedroom condo w/i the GTA for $200K or less?

I think by Scarborough Town Centre there are some new buildings going up in the low 200's

    City-TV & OMNI-TV's H.Q. (formerly Torch, Quadrangle)

I've never even looked up, to be honest every time I've seen the streetcars "using" the turnaround I just see them signaling. Just yesterday I saw a driver get out of his street car to ask a car to move out of the way. That being said I've never actually stood there and watched it turn. I can...

    City-TV & OMNI-TV's H.Q. (formerly Torch, Quadrangle)

Okay we just had a town hall meeting so this is the updates that they told us, how much is corporate BS is up to you. In regards to the sign: They said that during the installation of the ticker they found there to be some structural damage to some steel where the sign would be placed and...

    City-TV & OMNI-TV's H.Q. (formerly Torch, Quadrangle)

As another member has noted it does indeed wrap all around. It faces more NE as opposed to east. Doubtful it will affect Bond Street Hotel clients much.

    City-TV & OMNI-TV's H.Q. (formerly Torch, Quadrangle)

I can confirm it's the ticker. We got an email from the general manager last week stating that the ticker would be installed soon. Also the ticker will indeed wrap around the curved portion. Well at least that's what the render shows in the e-mail we go. Oh and in reference to an earlier...

Pacific Mall Expansion + Hotel (Living Realty, 19s?, Petroff)

When I was in Paris I went to both Muji and Uniqlo. I think the brand recognition alone would make them succeed here. That being said I'm sure there are people who are paid waaay more than I am do determine where good expansion should happen.

Pacific Mall Expansion + Hotel (Living Realty, 19s?, Petroff)

What's interesting to note is how this expansion directly affects the Remington redesign of Market Village. There was talk in the Market Village thread how there was no chance the owners of Pacific mall would all of a sudden a tree lined pedestrian walkway in front of the mall. These renders...

Extending subway system driving force behind Thomson mayoral campaign

I don't think building X amount of subways within 10 years is impossible, it's just highly improbable in North America. Madrid, Beijing, Shanghai they were able to build a ton of subways in a short period of time. Granted labour in Chine is significantly less. I like Hong Kong's model...

775 King West Condos (Minto) - Real Estate -

I'm not entirely convinced it's costing the developers more to create parking spots, they are just charging more. From what I recall during my search parking was going for around $150-$175. I rarely saw parking at $200 or more. This talk may be better suited for the real estate section.

Price diff btw sheppard and yonge and downtown central

I've seen yonge / sheppard start at around $1150. Downtown usually starts closer to $1500. Both for a 1 bedroom condo.

Pacific Mall Expansion + Hotel (Living Realty, 19s?, Petroff)

I highly doubt the 2nd phase of Splendid China Tower will get built. Half of the the building is unoccupied as it is right now.

775 King West Condos (Minto) - Real Estate -

back in October I was looking at 500 Wellington and parking was going for I believe $37,500. The Freed rep was convinced parking would be worth at least $50K in 2 years. I did the math to carry an extra $37,500K on a mortgage and then compared it to parking prices that were being advertised...

Be aware that they are building a public housing building directly across the street from Corktown Mews. This may or may not bother you.
