This last photo shows context much better than the previous one which is,, frankly, misleading. This one shows how it is a high rise neighbourhood and 58 storeys here can work, as long as the street is respected.

The floor count has never been clear but I have heard 57 more often than nought. At the original height it would have looked truly like the tallest building in the city however at the reduced height the claim as the second tallest is really only contained in the conceit of the spire at the top...

These projects are set to completely transform this neighbourhood (granted it is currently being transformed) into a high rise condo zone. I just hope they retain the warehouse like urban texture that gives it character.

I went to the Tim Burton exhibit last weekend and walked around the building. The more of this building I see, the more I like it. I like the Bell Blue Room very much, love the urban textured view. I haven't gone to a movie there yet. That will be next on the list.

What a shame. And very very ...VERY suspicious. There should be an immediate investigation. Toronto should look to Montreal for its heritage legislations, heritage conservations groups etc. Montreal endured Jean Drapeau who never saw a row of greystones that couldn't approved as a parking...

This area needs a signature tower (as mentioned in another thread). Could these play that role? They might not be tall enough.

Fair enough but the presentation centre cost would be small in comparison with the opportunity cost of NOT building the landmark tower for the development. I would guess market conditions would drive the timing of this tower rather than the costs of a temporary sales centre.

I guess everyone is asking this but when is Signature scheduled to start, at a high level. Surely they are getting close to that point now. Or perhaps they have missed the boat now.

funny i didn't like this tower for a long time but it's understateness and quality is growing on me.

Slightly off topic but will the joined Fort York/Bremner dump a bunch of rush hour traffic from Lakeshore into City Place area? It looks like a throughway!

It is not that building but actually one east..just to the west of Brassai. And yes unfortunate it is a Firkin..not really a good fit for this stretch..would be nice to have something in between Fynn's and the Brant Houses and Spice Route..something casual but not a pub if such a thing exists...

The suites do seem small for the declared square footage. Also I am not sure about those large residential balconies/terraces at the lower levels (3rd and 4th floor)..I am not sure I would really enjoy a private terrace just a few feet above Yonge and Bloor.
